  1. Leicester is an option for this meeting as others have said logistically is ok with clubs in the final and is a neutral track. It will also get a good support from Leicester fans especially as they are finishing so early and will feature some Leicester favourites. I don't think it will be a Saturday night though more likely to be a Sun afternoon in early Oct
  2. LionKing - As much as Mr Hemsley would like to extend the season unless he calls it off at lunchtime he will still incur all the travelling expenses from the riders and the forecast I have just saw says rain not starting until 19:00 by which time the meeting will be under the referees control so won't be up to the club to call it off
  3. From what I have been told by 3 different people including some very close to Peterborough promotion. Is that Robert Lambert first approached both Peterborough and Kings Lynn for pay rises over a month ago,Even though he has signed and agreed his deals for 2015 he believes that as he was No1 at Panthers then they should pay him quite a bit more now and the same sort of thing at KL he has moved to be a heatleader wants more money. The Panthers have said No like many other riders you will see the benefit of improvement in next years deals but team Lambert were unhappy about this and so the club have replaced him. Also as technically he is not withholding his services he can join another PL club I expect to see that move happen soon. Not sure what KL are doing yet
  4. Well it just goes to show the Panthers management were not going to give into Lamberts demands, it is wrong for a rider to ride for a club all season and then come the business end of the season to start asking for more money and in this case I am well informed that it was quite large increases Robert wanted. Personally I think he is being advised poorly and will be interesting to see if Kings Lynn agree to his requests or if any other PL club are prepared to pay what he wants for the play offs. As long as he is fit I think Barker could be a good signing for Peterborough and will help build good team spirit and I'm sure become popular with the fans.
  5. I think a lot will depend on Leicester's Polish trio of they can get 7+ points each tonight the Lions should have a chance also need Ludvig Lindgren to chip in with a few as well. This could be a close match
  6. Very pleased to hear that Lewi is making some positive progress and hopefully going in the right direction. As others have said once he is well on the road to recovery I am sure more info about the crash, pics and what happened afterwards will come out but it seems the medical team literally did save a life on Sunday by their quick actions and skills.
  7. All the Air ambulance trusts around the UK do an amazing job on donations and they do make such a difference to final outcome like yesterday the onboard DR anathetised Lewis put him on a mobile ventilator to help with his breathing and got him to a major head trauma unit in under an hour of the incident that time saved is crucial. Also by the sounds of it a big well done to the Peterborough paramedic and medical team for realising the seriousness of the incident getting the best team to him and treating him until they arrived. Hopefully we get some more positive news on Tuesday and personally I think as well as fans making donations to MAGPAS that the BSPA should make a sizeable donation from the profits of Sundays meeting
  8. First of all best wishes to Lewis and hopefully he can pull through this and make a full recovery it was a horrible accident with no real blame on anybody. I think the right decision was made to abandon the meeting as everybody was very shocked by the incident, it just goes to show our dangerous our favourite sport is and how ,ich riders risk for entertainment. I am sure Magpas Helimedix air ambulance charity www.magpas.org.uk that came to treat and transfer Lewis would welcome any donations that speedway fans can make towards their funds please remember they get no government funding and days like today show what an important role they play in pre hospital care and due to the track paramedics and them they could have made a huge difference to Lewis Kerrs well being and future.
  9. 1 Valve- You mentioned Leicester being too slow off the mark to book Richard Hall as the guest my understanding is that Lakeside have had him booked for weeks well before Simon Lambert got injured and Josh Auty was ruled out. I don't agree if what went on the background with Lakeside team changes and lack of control by BSPA and SCB however on the day Leicester were beaten by a better team and Swiderski is not the backup to Doyle that is required.
  10. My understanding is that Simon Lambert has actually broken his shoulder which if correct would be a longer lay off than a dislocation
  11. So it looks like Leicester will have no FTR of their own for the next few weeks if not the rest of the season when will the injury jinx stop. We got Walasek back riding Sunday then Lambert breaks his shoulder on Mon and looks 99% like Josh has done his hand again.
  12. HadrienDog- Nobody will be in the firing line for not broadcasting this match as the reason there is no matches this week is due to the darts. The same production team do Speedway and Darts at Sky so hence can't be in two places at once
  13. The amount of cameras used in coverage this year has dropped by 2 so the director does have a couple less options to use. It also has to be considered that the camera used on the startline and also inside first bend is often setup in SloMo mode so can't be used for live insert maybe we could look at having a fixed position camera in that area. But will pass on the feedback for you all Not sure if any of the more technical minded viewers have noticed we have started using a ultra slo Mo camera to use for inserts
  14. Plans are already in place I believe to run this fixture this Wednesday if it gets rained off and expect an early decision to prevent travelling costs of riders. I agree hopefully Garrity will prove to be a good guest for Leicester and is one of the best available.
  15. Overall a good meeting and Leicester deserved the win I would say the crowd was a bit up on normal also considering it was the start of the school holidays so lots of people have gone away this weekend. Darcy Ward was very good and a lot better than when he came with Poole last year a shame the Saturday night racing put a end to him coming to Leicester this season. It was also very clear what a signing Zengota would have been for the Lions if Swindon had kept Howarth nevermind. Another problem now is as Norrie said on press conference to find guests for Sam Masters or a new signing which is very difficult
  16. Having seen the pictures on Facebook I can see why Nick is out of Saturday at Leicester and expect the the Poole match which is a shame. When is Fisher going to learn to ride cleanly and fair
  17. Having just seen a picture of Morris injury on Facebook I am not at all surprised he is out of Saturday after he got Fished at Somerset on a Friday looks quite nasty and quite a bit of stitching to happen
  18. As Darcy is now in the country and has been practicing at Swindon tonight all night and then at Somerset on Friday If he does not ride at Leicester on Saturday then surely he must be classed as withholding his services as he is now declared in Swindon 1-7 and has not got any FIM fixtures ?
  19. If Swindon are really going to push for the Playoffs they really could do with winning at Leicester on Saturday but now its confirmed that Ward will not make his debut until Monday based on last weeks match not sure that will happen
  20. I also thought there was a ruling that Polish riders can only ride Premier league if on ACU licenses. I would also be surprised at Bydgoscz allowing this especially as he is now one of their top riders although they may not have many fixtures left
  21. Robert72- It is fact about the lighting at Leicester and if you watch any of the Clean cut sports DVDs or the footage Sky did at EL riders final you will see the reason why especially bends 2 & 4. I know David Hemsley has looked at upgrading the lighting to the correct Lumen levels but would cost around 10-15k to do which for maybe two more Sky meetings not worth it at the min: With regards to away fixtures it does not help that Leicester have struggled both seasons in the EL but as I said previously there is a good possibility that Sky will be back at Leicester in Aug
  22. Robert72- Sky do not mind filming at Leicester but the matches that can be shown are quite limited due to the lighting not being up to the correct levels. In fact they are made very welcome unlike some places So limited to just showing matches when the evenings are the longest if Leicester had a good season and made the playoffs in September/ October then extra lighting would need to be be hired in for the occasion even last night in the last few heats the engineering team were struggling with the light and had to use some digital image stabilisers to keep pics looking ok. Don't be too surprised though if you see another meeting from Leicester in a few weeks though as another fixture is looking like another good possible TV match
  23. Phil The Ace they had articulated crane up the track on Friday for some reason so whether they was there lifting in a higher fence to block the sun as to me it seems if the fence was 5metres higher then it would be at right level for on track.
  24. I was too very impressed with PKs performance on the engine at Leicester and he said it rode lovely with lots of speed. Like when Bomber used it in the GP Peter Karlsson found it a little bit less performance out of the start but that is probably just a case of changing gearing and jetting slightly
