It is worrying times for the Lions with the problems of not being able to field a competitive team, a handful of season tickets sold and now not paying riders money owed. I wonder how much is Hemsley not wanting to pay Doyle as he left or simply hasn't got the money which I understand is a sizeable amount as for about 5-6 meetings. I do know 2016 signings were told no money until Feb if wanted signing on fee there may be more departures yet

I have heard IPTV stallion is a good one to ask to get the Polish feeds as he often takes requests for channels to be added by Twitter and is a free add on
-
Let's get the thread back on topic does anybody know if there will be any Polish speedway streams on Kodi as all the ones I have looked at don't seem to offer Polish channels
-
The Kodi revolution ha really taken off and is proving difficult for the TV providers to disable and take down with one German broadcaster paying hackers to disable servers that some of the streams come via. With regards to Speedway ALL fans with Kodi to to try and encourage one of the big providers like Stallion IPTV,Sports Devil or Mama sport to provide Polish Speedway feeds they all do a variety of European channels already but not Poland

Sorry I should have explained better there is a number of riders who have said that they don't want to be at Leicester on Saturdays if it can be avoided but there is two riders who told their respective clubs months ago before they signed that Saturday wasn't an option
-
DayTripper- It's not really a case of Leicester wanting to run on GP weeks it's the other weeks they want to run on but due to Poland the next day most riders don't want to be in the midlands until 10pm then get to Stansted or Luton around midnight for 3-4hra sleep before going over to Poland. I am not 100% on this but have heard two EL no1s have told their club can't do Leicester on Sats.

For once myself and Lionking agree on what is going on at Leicester and he has stated the facts. I do have a feeling that DH is trying to force the BSPA to let him withdraw from the league as he he said before he would not run in 2016 if he didn't lose his bond and a fine. The only thing that he has not helped himself with is that he has always ran Bank holiday Monday's but is refusing to do so this year. This would help the situation as would be 3 less matches on Sat along with two Sky meetings you may only have 8 Saturday night matches to fit in. This attitude is only making him even more unpopular with his fellow promotors as can see he is being awkward as he cannot get a team together. I would not like to bet whether Leicester will actually take part in 2016 EL at present
-
Has anybody else noticed that all Leicester home matches are listed as provisional so there must be something going on either pulling out or change of race night the plot thickens especially with reports of some squad members
-
BIGAL- The bigger problem for other clubs would be two less matches for them to stage and make money on also I am sure their season ticket holders will want something as getting less than they thought. This could and must stress Could be the final straw that finishes the Sky TV deal as well it's now quite an open thing that Sky have considered their options already this winter but decided to continue with a late withdrawal who knows. I really hope that it does not come to this and that the club and BSPA can sort something out but as the weeks go by the more desperate it looks BIGAL- The bigger problem for other clubs would be two less matches for them to stage and make money on also I am sure their season ticket holders will want something as getting less than they thought. TheBlueBoy- I fully agree most of the problems at Leicester return back to the promoter and his stubbornness to accept change and what is required to be in the Elite league. He had a number of chances to keep Doyley and all he asked for as well as his money was not Sat night racing and a better team. But DH thought he knew best and dug his heels in like he had with the track work until recently. He also over estimates the fans in his mind he think 700-800 will turn up week in week out regardless of results Sponsorship is the same has been done by volunteers and club over optimistic value of team sponsorship. Hopefully it doesn't come to this but to me it seems the club are at cross roads pull out of the league lose your bond, reputation and be Forced to sell the club or do you confirm with sub standard team fans fade away and lose lots of money
-
At this late stage I don't think a change of race night will help Leicester greatly as they have let the no1 urgently needed go to Swindon and Kings Lynn are in the same situation cannot get a top rider to commit to the UK. The worry is with such an under strength team will the club complete the season as the crowds will soon start to drop even the loyal ones will drift away look what happened at Birmingham a couple of seasons a go exactly the same situation. It's got to the stage where the club don't know where to go next with riders not interested and a handful of season tickets sold and another season with no main team sponsor looking likely

The Coventry fixture is obviously the reason why Leicester cannot run on the Friday night and understand the Sun afternoon/evening is out as Wozniak is required in Poland that day
-
Cue Ball - No chance could you do Leicester and then go Belle Vue without missing racing as Leicester will be done by 2:45 then good 2hrs 30 up to Manchester plus trying to find parking up there with huge crowd ,especially as its Sat lunch time won't be able to park near Leicester track so probably 15min walk back to car then traffic out of Leicester and into Manchester This is why so many Leicester fans are annoyed as many have brought tickets for Belle Vue and many more want to go until Leicester have this silly idea to run at 1pm
-
With all the potential problems of running the first meeting on Sat lunch e.g Car parking, work & child commitments, playing football/Rugby along with a number of fans wanting to go and already brought tickets for Belle Vue. Is there any reason why the meeting could not be on Fri night at 19:30 as they could still have P&P at 12pm as proposed
-
I wonder if the Belle Vue meeting is moving back the start time as I thought Stead was due to be in that meeting. If not does seem very strange to have a meeting that date and time I much prefer the meetings under lights and sure would have a bigger crowd in the evening. The also seem to have overlooked the car parking as you struggle to get a space at Beaumont Leys on a normal Saturday afternoon. It seems another poorly thought out choice of timing
-
I don't it's as such as getting through to DH it's more like you want to alter the track you pay for it and do the work. So that is what Dave Darcy has done on the team front still no news as simply cannot get the riders to do the meetings everybody Norrie tries says No Thank you not on a Saturday night. The THJ option seems to have gone now as well as he was interested if he didn't get a Polish club but somebody has come in for him so no to UK

Live Match Streaming For Armchair Fans?

I am not sure who got paid what for the betting deal but do know it cost just under £7000 to setup all the tracks to do this and then around £359-400 per meeting to broadcast so the book makers had to win a lot of money off customers to make it pay especially as the average bet was only £1 -
The track has also done another thing it has turned people's attention away from in my view a bigger problem who is going to be Leicesters number 1&2 riders in 2016.

Cardiff Saturday 9th July 2016

Well looks like the uni accommodation is all gone friends have tried to book but nothing for GP weekend now -
Well with all this bad taste created by one sillyperson Mr Burton hopefully the club will see sense and remove him from his official position as a steward. It will be interesting to see if he still comes to watch the Lions when he has to pay to come in I somehow doubt he will.

Live Match Streaming For Armchair Fans?
flagrag replied to heathen chemistry's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
On a basic level this could be done very easily at little cost for the person filming it and at no cost for viewers. It could even be done for free using Periscope app I know some clubs did some testing but could not be taken any further as was deemed to conflict with the Go Speed & Sky sports deal -
TMW No the only lighting that Sky bring is for the studio and for pit interviews track lighting is provided by the club
-
TMW The required lighting level for Speedway on Sky is ideally 2000 Lux but due to multi use of most stadiums most are around 1500 but Leicester especially on bend 3 and 4 drops down to around 600-800 last time it was measured. It would cost the club probably around 5-7k to upgrade the lighting its a shame that they do not have regular use of centre green for Football or Rugby as would then have to be made better
-
As I have said before Leicester can only be featured on Sky at home during the height of the summer when we have the longest days. The track lighting is not up to the required standards for TV broadcasting and the promotion are aware of this but cannot justify new lighting for at best 2 or 3 meetings a year. Sky were offered a Poole and Kings Lynn home Lions match in the run up to play offs but declined due to lighting If Leicester had been involved in the Play offs then additional lighting would have to be brought in but this obviously has high costs. With the team that Leicester are currently looking at putting out I think it may well just be the one visit again in 2016

Incognito That is interesting that you should mention Polish riders as I have been hearing this week that Leicester have offered very attractive terms to another Polish rider with GP experience to lead the team could be a gamble but they are desperate
