  1. Bit of both I think, I dont think the sales of tickets has gone very well going on the fact they keep extending the cheap ticket deadline, but clearly the hotel trade havent helped by doubling the prices, a point not lost on BSI apparently.
  2. Judging by the decision to move the German GP to Bydgoszcz, it appears IMG/BSI are supporting Gollob as well, he certainly would have been third favourite for the bronze medal in Gelsenkirchen.
  3. Yeah and it always seems to figure highly in your posts. Not to long ago I recall you backing Paul Bellamy's comments about the EL getting its house in order, after the rain off in an indoor arena and putting a German cover only on a re print of the 2008 Scandinavian GP Programme, Bellamy & others should keep comments like that to themselves. I am sure you have heard the saying "Better to be thought a prat, than to open your mouth and confirm it".
  4. I was told the roof was left open last night, and clearly no one checked the weather forecast, this is unbelievable incompetence on a grand scale and I really feel for the thousands of fans who are out there havent spent a fortune. Then to announce its taking place at Bydgoszcz next Saturday, Ill wager Hancock & Andersen are delighted with that little move it practically assures Gollob of third place. As Ballinger says heads should roll for this.
  5. Unbelievable decisions all night. I am niether an Adams or Bjarne Pedersen fans but felt for the pair of them, Adams expecially the refs decision was criminal.
  6. Is anyone able to point me towards the right place for final averages for the Swedish Elite League for 2007 please.
  7. Have to agree, the racing was garbage. If this keeps up it will die, we need to see racing not gate and go
  8. I agree it would be financial suicide not to have at least 2 brits in next year, bearing in mind the British GP seems to make most of the money. Having said that I am surprised that niether of the two chose to do the quals
  9. It cost the promotions money, the TR doesnt and its as simple as that What I would give to go back to the old tac sub ride.
  10. Good post, they always moan about the track being different, lets bin practice
  11. I thought that was one of the worst GP's ever, the track was an absoloute disgrace, who ever prepared should be sacked. I dont think I saw one passing move in the first 12 heats other than a mistake because of the ruts. If Olsen thinks that sort of track is what is required he wants sacking. Truly dreadful
  12. The whole tactical ride thing should be scrapped, along with the guest rider rule. Dreadful, both of them, holds this sport back from being taken seriously. Unfortunately its the BSPA who decided these things and they dont want to scrap either.
  13. Perhaps I can help you, NL is your wife, I didnt realise you had split up again.
  14. The press release for this story stated that Mick Bratley was Peterborough Co Promoter and advisor to Hans Andersen. If the Daily Mirror want to interpret that as manager, then thats up to them. Anyway why would a Reading sponsor be so interested, are you so fed up with putting the boot into Colin Horton that you now have switched tactics to stabbing Mick Bratley in the back. Or is the real reason that maybe you're just bitter that Peterborough withdrew their proposal of team sponsorship to you this season because they decided they did not need the hassle from a two bob lift company. I see the spelling hasnt improved yet
  15. I wouldnt take everything you read in the Daily Mirror as gospel, its not known for its accuracy is it, secondly every promoter in speedway is involved with his riders and is clearly biased towards his riders, It goes with the job. Promoters are always in the pits, its required under the rules, certainly in the UK anyway. Try a different daily it might help with the spelling
  16. It doesnt really matter where the GP is being staged because the man responsible for its state is Ole Olsen While he is GP Director in charge of track preperation it will be slick, slick and more slick.
  17. Yeh brilliant he only mentioned that Zagar was 5 times slovenian champion about 15 times. The mans got to go
  18. Having attended Cardiff for the last 5 years I have found it more expensive every year, Its bad enough that BSI rip us off without the hotels getting in on the act We have booked to go to Germany for the last GP and with flights, hotel & tickets, its just as cheap if not cheaper than going to Cardiff. If you do it yourself and its not differcult, its works out about half what reputed speedway travel clubs charge.
  19. I thought the GP was one of the worse this year, the track was an absolute disgrace, do the organisers actually want to see racing. Anyone watching that for the first time wouyld have switched off, its pains me to say it but I agree with Shovlar, It certainly looked like Hancock had 2 wheels over the white line
  20. I was just thinking were we not saying the same about Trick at the end of 2006 and look what happened to him
  21. If they wanted to qualify they should have done the British Final, some simpathy for Loram who missed out because of red tape, absoloutly none for Louis who apart from Ipswich & Arena Essex looks totally passed it. Harris scored the better points so deserves the chance
  22. Completely agree, only the top 8 should get into next years GP, the rest should qualify although I still think its we will have 2 brits, Harris is my bet after his good final score
  23. I agree, cannot see BSI taking a chance on having just 1 brit in the GP, my money is on the best score between Steady or Bomber on Saturday in Vetlanda deciding it.
