Leszno Gp 28th April 2012
bigcatdiary replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Good GP once we had run a few heats, not sure Olsen should be in charge of track prep as it wasn't good to start with. Nice to see Holder win and an excellent Final, interesting to see a Hampel and Gollob fall out, didn't appear Gollob was to happy with the outcome or the fans reaction. -
Gp In Auckland 2012

Surely the proof if anyone needed it that BSI have let someone make the decision who shouldnt have done. Massive step backwards in my opinion. -

Clearly the answer is No, I really dont know why some supporters are surprised at this, complete waste of time. -

James Wright -
This whole affair is turning out to be a right can of worms I do hope the SCB have the time and presence to do a proper job and not come up with the lack of evidence like in previous investigations.

Email Darren Fletcher he interviewed him
-
To be fair Custer Rosco came across very well
-
To be honest I dont suppose he gives a shiny shoot what anyone thinks perhaps with the exception of the SCB panel which will decide his fate. It will be interesting to see if they believe his "Press Statement"
-
Can only agree, its a lot of work for the SCB but they have shown they havent the time or the inclination to do anything about rule breakers so dont hold your breath.
-
Your not alone, it will be interesting to see if any of the current superstars have a sudden loss of form from Monday.

Premier League Fours
bigcatdiary replied to djp45's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
I went to the recent Ipswich meeting there for the first time the other week and the racing was about at good as the timekeeping and for the record 2 good races out of 15 doesnt make a race track. -

You clearly havent been recently as the track was widened many years ago and the car park is now one of the best in the country. As for the Grandstand, its old but spacious, comfortable and its free to all supporters. As for facilities I dont think Peterborough is missing anything As for the racing Bob Rawlings says in the star this week its the best and I wouldnt argue with him. Perhaps if or when Hemsley widens Leicester in the winter that might improve it. -

Got to feel for anyone going. The tracks utter rubbish and getting in and out and parking isnt straight forward either -
Italian Gp Terenzano
bigcatdiary replied to nbaynes's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
And not likely to get any better when they serve up dross like that for the first half of the meeting, admittedly it did improve and the last few heats were good but Teranzano isnt condusive to good racing and like a lot of these GP tracks this year provides boring racing most of the time. I thought the incident with Holder and the tapes not going up cleanly was an absoloute disgrace, that race should have been restarted Holder was well disadvantaged. -
Swc Changes Needed ?
bigcatdiary replied to Robbie B's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
So basically they should all have waited until Jim Lawrence declared the race officially, which is his decision alone to make. Having been given wrong info Sky made a meal out of Lawrence changing his mind, which to be fair is completely untrue, despite Sky now knowing the full facts they havent corrected the mistake after saying they would. !! Think perhaps in the future everyone should take of who makes the decision - The Referee, especially when its not clear who finished where. -

Interesting information come to light since the Final was broadcast The Referee Jim Lawrence DIDNT change his mind in heat 21, sky inadvertently showed the wrong result before the referee had declared it. Whats really bad is that Pearson and Tatum now know they got it wrong on the night having made a meal out of it and havent had the decency to admit they were wrong on Sky. -

Cracking advert for the sport but the tactical joker has now run its course its embarassing get rid of it. It would be nice if they staged it every other year as well. -

Looks the the FIM rules are as watertight as the SCB BSPA rulebooks are -

Can only agree, we were always going to be a distant 2nd, and with Bridger in for Nicholls in the Race Off we might struggle to finish 3rd in that. -

If it was at Eastbourne it would be a no brainer but other than that he is hopeless -

Quite an entertaining meeting and like others have said some of the riders were clearly up for it. -
