Redcar Bears V Somerset Rebels - 1/5 - Pl
whowasthatberntpersson replied to boz's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Could anyone explain how Redcar have managed to reintroduce Richard Lawson into their lineup for tonight's meeting v Plymouth, after Swindon v Lakeside was rained off this morning. When under exactly the same circumstances Nick Morris wasn't allowed to be reintroduced last Thursday????? -
Teterow / Gustraw

Be good to see a few of the Under 21 riders appearing at Gustrow on the Sunday. Incidentally I believe the Aussie team to be Nick Morris, Max Fricke, Ryan Douglas, Mason Campton. -

Will try to meet up mate, if we haven't already done so. We are flying into Berlin, hiring a car and staying in Gustrow for two nights (Friday and Saturday), then back to Berlin after the Sunday meeting. Trying to find out who will be in the big individual on Sunday, but the organisers are still putting the lineup together. -

All booked up for this weekend, and really looking forward to it. Will definitely do the speedway meetings, and will probably have a look at the long track at some stage.... -

From what I can gather Nick attempted to get back into this meeting, but his request was rejected (by Brian HavelockI believe). Pretty poor whatever reason is given. -
Quite a good meeting, close and competitive. The fish was in brutal form, particularly his move on Allen in heat 15. Scared the living daylights out of him, looked a bit close to the edge to me, and in reality if Allen had gone down, Fisher would definitely have been excluded. The move enabled Bjerre to come through, and the Panthers took a win which they just about deserved.

Such sad news but as others have said, no more suffering now. I first met Normie when he visited mutual friends (Margie and Keith Pilcher) in Townsville Australia about eight years ago. Normie then opened his home up to me and my Son when we first came to the UK, and there are so many great memories from the initial meeting right through to when we caught up again at Somerset last year. A true gentleman who will be greatly missed by all that new him. RIP Normie - I shall definitely be raising a glass of bundy rum to salute you in Cardiff this year.

I was under the impression that the Gustraw club were hosting an individual meeting on one of the days, not 100% sure though. -
Quite a festival of speedway / long track happening in early June. Including a under 21 WTC semi at Gustraw on the 7th June, Individual speedway on the 9th besides the famous grass / long track action at Teterow. Anyone going? Anyone been there before? Looking at the best places to stay, getting around, any info or advice really. Two speedway and two long track meetings in one weekend, sounds appealing.

So Where Now Nick Morris
whowasthatberntpersson replied to spin king's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Spot on. BSPA decided that because of a slight oversight on paperwork his application to do British Rounds of the world championship and ultimately the possibility to ride as a Brit would be rejected. Absolutely no place on a speedway forum for half wits like you Jenga. If you know so much about this rider, please share. -

Another word Nick could use is "SHAFTED" -
No he doesn't.

Looks like a combination of a reshuffle because of the Kurtz situation and clash of dates with Swindon has pushed this one through. I personally think Somerset may have got this very wrong, but we'll have to wait and see. -

No Nick Morris at Somerset in 2014.
