  1. But yes they are as the cut off point does not affect the finishing positions regarding table standings, or bragging rights.
  2. Because its an official fixture that has to be run just like Redcar or Workington!
  3. Did they well there both new to me LOL!
  4. No 1998 was 7 man teams in the PL!
  5. I see on the Newcastle website the fixture on the 17th has been changed from Sheffield to Redcar so the Bears turn down a double header on the same day to do exactly that on different dates? makes no sense at all IMO!
  6. I don't know if its still on there but at one point that whole meeting was available to watch on YouTube, I hope that helps.
  7. I can second that, I have that meeting on both video and dvd somewhere too.
  8. Well here we are the day of the meeting and no thread started any team changes? Sheffield 1, Scott Nichols 2, Todd Kurtz 3, Lasse Bjerre 4, Josh Bates 5, Kyle Howarth 6, Jan Graversen 7, Georgie Wood Newcastle 1. Robert Lambert 2. Ashley Morris 3. Stuart Robson 4. Ludvig Lindgren 5. Steve Worrall 6. Ben Hopwood 7. Alfie Bowtell
  9. andys you are entitled to think whatever you want I am not stopping you be true to yourself, personally yes I would get rid of George and Darryl I have said that on this forum before, however we were talking about the team were we not? and George is team manager! I don't believe they the promotion are the be and end all of the club which I have also said before, but they maybe two of the longest serving co promoters in the clubs history however I have pointed out in the past that we have had more dross than success with said promotion.
  10. ruffdiamond I did say that & I stand by it you are correct, however it is alright George saying he "would like to step down" and actually doing so it all appears to be hot air and nothing more. Speedway is dying on its arse we all know this as supporters of any club, however Newcastle don't help themselves at times either. So there for I stand by my comments and opinions and respect yours and others likewise! I don't entirely by that rule of thought & don't think you could ever guarantee one way or another yes it maybe a factor or a risk if you prefer, but with all clubs up and down the country having changed owners etc never say never again if you ask me! Thanks ruffdiamond Can anyone confirm this please? diamonds54 Why not critise George or anybody else for that matter I also agree on your comment about him putting money in to the club but so does every supporter of speedway, so what you are saying is put your money in and shut up? to which I for one would never do that.
  11. That doesn't make sense to me Ludvig Lindgren has been there under preforming for years now if any rider under preforms as a whole the way he has down the years you get rid of, if you are unable to do so for the reminder of the season due to riders availability or averages etc then you do the next season, you don't resign them year after year and keep making him captain! As for George he puts the teams together and is there as a manager so he fails to manage get shot of simples, when he returned to the role in 2009 after Dickie he was only supposed to be there as tempery stand in and he we are eight years on and he's still there? as for "speedway is not like 'most other sports', it is pretty unique" this may well be the case but it wants so we are led to believe to be known as a professional sport where in my view its vastly becoming over priced Micky Mouse affair. Mind that's not just Newcastle its the whole sport.
  12. Well you are fully entitled to your view, but that is mine and if you look at a lot of the teams that George has put together they all follow similar results by the end of the campaigns and in most other sports or IMO even most other teams would of replaced both week links a long time ago.
  13. I think that is a bit harsh on Ben he's a two point rider and came in well into the season to replace Danny Philips injured I quite like both Ben and Danny, as for Alfie I can't comment as I have not seen him ride for or against us, however what I will say he seemed to get better comments in his guest appearance against us than he does riding for us, is he another rider we have killed his confidence? I have said it before & I stand by it we have two weaknesses in the camp one is Ludvig Lindgren, & the other is George English is no good as a team manager he's useless and to be successful we need to get rid of these week links .
  14. Well here we go again its Edinburgh for the second time this season, can either side go one better this time of asking after the previous time of asking ended in a 45 all draw? is the on going work at the stadium any closer to being complete? as this will be my forth missed fixture and with no match next weekend either! Does anybody know of any changes for Edinburgh? Newcastle Diamonds 1. Robert Lambert 2. Ashley Morris 3. Stuart Robson 4. Ludvig Lindgren 5. Steve Worrall 6. Ben Hopwood 7. Alfie Bowtell Edinburgh Monarchs 1. Sam Masters 2. Theo Pijper 3. Ricky Wells 4. Max Clegg 5. Erik Riss 6. Josh Pickering 7. Mitchell Davey
  15. IMO its the for mentioned George's cadge that needs a good shake up.
  16. Sadly not as I don't follow other events other than Newcastle matches although I did go there a number of years ago.
  17. Well Nobody seems to of started it off so here goes, sadly I won't be attending this one nor indeed any future meetings at Brough Park until the access situation is fully restored from the turnstiles through to the track. Any official news on guests & riding orders for Berwick!! Newcastle Diamonds 1. Ritchie Worrall (Guest) 2. Ashley Morris 3. Lewis Rose 4. Ludvig Lindgren 5. Aaron Summers (Guest) 6. Ben Hopwood 7. Dan Greenwood Berwick Bandits? 1 Richard Lawson (Guest) 2 Joe Jacobs 3 Daniel Gappmaier 4 David Howe 5 Kevin Doolan 6 Jye Ethridge 7 Alfie Bowtell Mods can you please remove this topic as its repeated twice as the first time I posted it, it said errors and to re submit it thank you.
