For the benefit of those who can't be bothered to plough through the earlier excrement, somebody suggested Simon Stead for Sheffield, to which someone seemingly with their finger on the pulse of, well, something other than Workington Speedway, put forward the "information" that Stead would be the first signing of returning Promoter Tony Mole. As history shows, the accuracy of that statement was confined to the correct spelling of the words "Simon", "Stead", "Tony", "Mole" and "Workington". Other than that, the statement was wider of the markthan could be imagined - even in the head of whoever dreamt up the deluded suggestion.

Interesting alternative view from Alan Dick, in the local rag who, while disappointed to have lost was comforted by the racing, that, in his opinion wasn't just "good" but was in fact "very good". Expect more of he same then (?) -
It mainly illustrates that while Bach is a useful rider, he'll never be a number one. Bottled it before his injury when briefly at number one at Newcastle and did the same thing at Workington until Lawson overtook him in the averages. He may well improve his average, he might even go EL at some stage, but not via a number one position

Arse Fire - have you worked out whether extending the season into November was me being OTT or sensible if you suggest it. You might consider getting some medication for your attention deficit disorder. White Nightie - as Pikeys aren't a racial group, it's not a racist comment, so you're vaguely wrong. Again.

Yeah, ending the home fixtures with (another) defeat, that would be a cunning plan. No one would have been surprised - or cared - if Berwick had been eliminated from the competition today. Now John Anderson get the chance to cover the losses from a home fixture in which very few people will care enough to turn out & pay to watch as well as paying wages for the away leg. -

Exactly, I don't understand the "which league" comment unless they're looking at the EL lol. -

So is John Anderson talking cobblers, or have you stepped in as sponsor? Whatever there's left of the NL after the winter surely isn't the answer. -

The programme nots from the Redcar programme pointed out that the awarding of the meeting doesn't guarantee their running next year - it'll be at Berwick IF they run. Less than joined up thinking, but that's what was written. -

Great Result? 2013 just moved 3 or 4 grand closer towards not happening - unless of course Shielfield Park is packed to the gunnels on Saturday. -

Friday, 26th of October - there's a solution. -
The day of the PL Pairs, England v SouthAfrica was due to be played at Cardiff. 50 overs match. England faced less than 6 overs before the game was abandoned. Batsmens' scores don't appear in their records & the match was never restaged. "Accounted for"? No result. Try reading all the post - that'll prevent the final from going ahead at Somerset.

Cricket - The are any number of County games, Test matches, One Day Internationals, you name it that don't reach a conclusion because of rain. They share out league points, even for matches that never start. They even have a method of determining results (the equivalent of which for speedway would have the bobble hats in dreamland). The Duckworth / Lewis method (sexy name) was dreamt up as a number of one day cup matches were determined by a bowler from each side taking it it turn to bowl at a single stump, often in the rain with the team of the first bowler to hit the stump progressingto the next round of the competition. Only in Speedway, eh? Got a date to suggest for the restaging yet?

When are you going to run the meeting(s) then? Give me a date when the meeting & subsequent meetings could be run? If it's a case of "pulling out the stops", which stops do you want pulling out? Edinburgh have Fridays & Saturdays - so that would stop the final going ahead at Somerset. Unless you're suggesting that Planning Premission should be sought to run on another day? Make a suggestion.
