  1. Give yourselves a pat on the back. You'll drive the best bloke out of the job. I wouldn't blame him at all if he walked away especially after reading the drivel on this thread. Roscoe, Chris Morton, David Norris, Gary Havelock ... they won't handle a candle to Middleditch, a million miles better than them all. Ask yourselves: what could any of the above have done better with the riders at his disposal tonight. Zilch, nothing. Sometimes, I despair. Let's pick on the easy target. Why not Chris Harris. Where was his Millennium form tonight? He ran rings round Nicki Pedersen, Bjarne and Jason three weeks ago. Or are you going to pick on him once Middlo has walked off into the sunset? Always look at the alternatives before kicking the man in charge. You'll all be sorry mark my words.
  2. Er...yes CS. Did realise it wasn't ACTUALLY him answering the questions. Simply asked if anyone remembered it. Didn't expect sarcastic replies accusing me of some cheese having slipped off my cracker. Remind me CS: you are the one who thinks Millard is quite good.... have you ever heard of ghost commentators...
  3. I remember Dave Jessup having a column in Speedway Star called DJ requests, when you asked a mind-boggling speedway question and he would answer it. Does anyone else remember that?
  4. One ride was too much as far as I'm concerned. He stated he was going to rest the "injured" leg for the rest of the season and yet five days after his club Poole went out of the Knock Out Cup semi-final without him, he's back in his kevlars again in a knockabout meeting. To quote Andy Millman from BBC's Extras: "He's having a laugh. Is he having a laugh!" Yes, at British speedway's expense, no less.
  5. I think it's the final straw if he rides tonight in Sweden. I never thought I would say this, but Ian Thomas summed him up saying he was a disgrace in the Speedway Star a couple of weeks ago. I think the FIM should step in and ban the guy from speedway for a couple of years. He has duped the British public throughout 2006 with his "tiredness", "illness" and now "leg injury". Lindback should be used as an example to stop others picking and choosing in years to come. By stopping him riding full stop, he might understand how his serious his actions have been this year. If he is contractually committed to these clubs, he should fulfil the fixtures. If not, why sign it at the start of the season. To carry on letting Poole down and embarrassing their supporters has just been unbelievable - and I don't even support Pirates. Rickardsson, Jonsson and now Lindback. Picking and choosing when they want to ride in Britain. How many more next year. It's got to stop and NOW.
  6. How refreshing that Malcolm Simmons has taken time out to read and comment on the BSF at a time when so many clubs seem to want to knock the anonamous writers on this website. We are the fans and perhaps our views should be taken on board not criticsed out of hand. Well done, Super Simmo, I hope your book sells well.
  7. ...I think Middleditch has done a wonderful job as national manager and should be congratulated, not knocked. The difference between Eriksson and Middleditch is that Eriksson had the pick of some of the finest players in the world and failed to make them gel as a team in the world cup. Compare that with Middleditch who has had to work with limited resources and very few up and coming Brits. Its a miracle he's managed to steer the team into the final four for as long as he has. He picked Louis for the final - and it didnt work. So he tried everything. If you asked all the British riders Im sure they are happy with Middleditch in charge. Lets leave him alone and pat him on the back for a job well done. To help GB ahead of Australia, Poland and Ameria in this years world cup is an excellent achievement when you consider how few Brit riders he has to select from in the Elite League. All the criticism and he will knock it on the head and then you will have someone inferior. Get off his back.
