Thank's for the advice, and your right i should not make comparison's, but i think Nicki is on a par with most PL reserve's in the league going on there form in the NL, and seeing them down at the SBA last year, and yes it is a world of difference between the NL and PL, but i think Nicki has the ability to do well, of course he will need time and the Plymouth supporter's including me will give him that, if he fails it won't be because of the lack of support. It's not the fan's that have not learnt, we will get behind any rider, it's the person running the side that needs to learn, but it was a big mistake bringing Seemond back, i don't think Mike Bowden did him any favours did he, but Mark was ok i think 4.52 was his average when he got injured, and i think he was worth a place, but if Nicki gets 4.5 then it will be worth signing him, but i don't think he will be happy with that knowing Nicki, but there won't be any presser on him from the supporters, only support.
-
Mike where did i say Nicki is no better than a reserve away from the SBA, i was talking about Kristiansen, i said away from the SBA i'm not so sure about Nicki, what i do feel is Mike Bowden is very lucky to get Nicki on a 3 pt cma, i don't think he will stay on that for long.
-
Fair enuff Kristiansen started on a 4.80 average, my mistake, and is a more experience rider than Nicki, but not at the SBA, and that's where he got most of his points, but Nicki finished with Reading before he gon't injured on a 4 pt cma, and i see no reason Nicki won't do the same has Jesper at the SBA, away from the SBA i'm not so sure he will do so well, but saying that he can't do much worse away than Kristiansen, i'm not saying he will, and i'm not saying he won't, i'm saying there is no reason why he can't. Last year we had Jason Bunyan who had more experience than Jesper, so to compare they two last year you could say maybe not the best comparison, and to say Jason was a more accomplished rider you would have to agree with that, Bunyan started on a 7+ average and Kristiansen on a 4.80 average, but midway into the season that changed, and Bunyan was on a 4+ average and Kristiansen on a 6.06 average, so you can't always go by making comparison's, i just feel Nicki will do well at the SBA.
-
Your right Drac it is all prediction's and opinion's, but i feel that there is no reason why Nicki can't double his average, Kristiansen finished the season on a 6.06 average after starting on a 3, now you can't recall him yanking up any tress before that, and most of the points he got was at the SBA. he did nothing away no better than a reserve, but you woudn't have made that prediction at the start of the year, but i feel Nicki can do the same at the SBA and do what he done and bang in a few points, but away from the SBA i'm not so sure, but that didn't stop Kristiansen doubling his average.

In the new cabin he is putting there in the Coach's place. Yeh what a complete waste of time that was mike, i can't see the cabin he is putting in it's place being any different to be honest.
-
I would just like to say well done to Mike Bowden for removing the old coach that was on the exit to bend four, mind you he is replacing that with a hospitality cabin for sponsers and VIP's attending our meeting's in the future, i'm not sure about that but it will be better than seeing that old coach on bend four every friday

I think 5 or 6 at reserve is possible, he will find it hard going into the main body of the team, but Nicki is a very determined lad, and i would not be surprised to see him do well.
-
I can see Nicki doing well when at reserve maybe 5 to 6, but if he moves up then it could be harder.
-
Don't know Najjer, that's why i said it will interesting, who know's what will happen between now and the press and practice day, nobody know's who has signed, until we see who turn's up on the day, i haven't got a clue, this is a guess at the moment. 1, Ben Barker. 2, Ryan Fisher. 3, Nicki Glanz. 4, James Cockle. Apart from them i don't know who the rest are that will be at the press and practice.
-
I don't think for one minute Mike Bowden would sign Ryan Fisher unless he wasn't good value for the money, i think with some rider's you know you will get what you pay for, and i would put Ryan Fisher in that league, along with Ben Barker and Leigh Lanham, a good reason why Mike Bowden has gone for Leigh, i think a few that he had gone for this year i wouldn't put in that league, and i don't blame him if he make's even more change's to the team, i'm not saying it's right but it's down to him.
-
Spot on bob, to have Ryan Fisher and Ben Barker in the same team, well done Mike Bowden, like you bob i cant wait, press and practice will be interesting.
-
Mike Bowden could sign Jason Crump and he would still get the knocker's, they don't want anything to do with running the club, and they won't face about it, but they will still knock him, yes he has made mistakes we all have, but unless they can do better, give it a rest, if they don't like the way he is running the club don't go, there are plenty of people in the Country that would be happy to go and watch Plymouth for £12 on a friday, just think about that.
-
I think it was more Mike Bowden getting himself out of the s--t, and knowing he had to get a very good rider, when you sign a rider with an average of over 9 it wont come cheap.
-
I think Boxhall has met his match in Mike Bowden. Mike i agree what you say about Mike Bowden, but if Boxhall has signed a contract then surely his demands must have been agreed to, if now he is making excessive demands then what's the point in a contract, makes me think no contract has been signed, so Mike Bowden has every right to change his mind if Boxhall is asking for more than what was agree, i'm not saying what Mike Bowden is doing is right but we don't know what the situation is with him and Boxhall, i think if you look at Boxhall's history, it mite be better if Mike Bowden don't sign him. I'm not so sure about rider's being put off signing for Plymouth, i think if you offer any rider the right money they will sign, with Lanham it's just a matter of the distance he has to travel, it's not like he has to make the trip five day's a week, it's just once a week on a friday, i think he is very lucky to be offered a ride just a month before the season start's, it could be month's before he get's offered another one.

I would just like to wish Tim Webster all the best for the coming season, great lad Tim and i hope he does well for Buxton in the coming year, All the best Tim. Roger.
-
Your right its not the way to run a speedway club, and if he had got the team right the first time there would have been no need for all the changes he is trying to make, i can understand the situation with Werner fair enough, it was a mistake to sign him from the start, with Ashworth we will never know the truth about that one, but to bring Lanham in a drop Steve Boxhall nobody can agree with that and its not the way to run a club, but thats his choice to do it like that, and until the rules change to stop clubs from doing that it will carry on, surely if Boxhall has signed a contract to ride for Plymouth he can not do it, just makes you wonder if he has signed one.
-
It's just a shame Steve that one team proof's from one team's downfall, even if i'm a Plymouth supporter

Great rant June agree 100%, i think the set-up at Scunthorpe is second to none, i wish we had that set-up at Plymouth, but saying that we are lucky to have the track we have, so i'm just thankfull for that. -
I had a word with him this morning and i got that impression.
-
Mike i don't think Lanham is the only Newport rider MB is interested in.
-
Cheers had a feeling Mike Bowden would go for him
-
In the Sunday local paper it said that Ryan is already in the Country, and can't wait for the season to start, so if i was you Montie i would clean your crystal ball Doyle, 8.00. Barker,9.97. Masters,7.52. Fisher,9.69. Vissing,7.23. Lanham,7.53 Wright,7.19 Look at the figures drew, they don't lie, it's there in black and white.
-
Lewis i think that could be the deciding point in signing Lanham, it would be very hard on Boxall, but i can understand the reason if Mike Bowden changes his mind and signed Lanham, has you say he is not the most reliable of rider's.

Your right but do you think us Plymouth supporter's had any say in it, Plymouth is a stand alone club, maybe if we had two team's like Scunthorpe it would be different, i know Plymouth get good support but we still want a good team, but i think we could have got that with a much younger team, if i had a choice of having Tim Webster, Paul Starke or Seemond Stephen's in the Plymouth team i would pick Tim and Paul everytime, not all Plymouth fan's were happy with Mike Bowden's choice of rider's. -

Great post Dean, if we had someone in charge of the bspa who knew half of what you know then we could get somewhere, it was never going to work in Plymouth if it wasn't treated has a 3rd division speedway league, yes like you say british speedway owe alot to the conference/ national league, and they also owe alot to rider's like you Seemond and Buzz Burrow's and rider's like that, because the only way young rider's will learn is to ride against rider's like you Seemond and Buzz who see nothing wrong with rider in the NL because they love the sport and want to give something back. Don't forget Buzz Burrows, he wasn't at Plymouth, who was he with, or has that slipped your mind.
