  1. All i will say if i was the new owners, NO THANKS.
  2. Bowden offers his help to new Devils owners. http://www.thisisplymouth.co.uk/Bowden-offers-help-new-Devils-owners/story-17454479-detail/story.html Make up your own mind's about that, i'm not saying anything.
  3. I always go for a dump before i go on a friday, anyone who has been to the toilets at the SBA will know why, it's not a toilet you would want spend to much time in to be sure.
  4. Can't make one any higher than the one Scunny Stage has, but this is the one i have put together based on riders i have been impressed with at the SBA. 1, Jason Doyle. 2, Ricky Kling. 3, Anders Melgren. 4, Robin Aspegren. 5, Ricky Wells. 6, Morten Risager. 7, Claes Nedermark.
  5. Yeh it's a long way to walk during the meeting if you got to go
  6. The latest plans for Plymouth Speedway. http://www.thisisplymouth.co.uk/New-Devils-owners-plan-St-Boniface-Arena-2013/story-17445642-detail/story.html
  7. I think this is the best team so far, but i think Lee and Seemond will get the club a very good set of riders, i have great faith in theses two lads, when talking to Seemond he said to me that Lee has a very good eye for a speedway rider, and always does well in the speedway fantasy league, lets just hope he can do the same for the Devils this coming year.
  8. What and wear all the gear with it, now that would be a site
  9. Had a feeling Jesper would be in your team for this year, great at the SBA, but nor sure about him away, but i would look at the Kurtz brother's after seeing the younger one at the SBA last year after one of the meetings, but an interesting team.
  10. Mike promoters and team managers don't think of the Brit thing when they are building there team, but like you say having at least one in the team would be good, and Kennett could do with droping down to the PL for a year or two, did not have a good year last year, but his cma would be to high a price to pay for me, but i do like Nicolai Klindt, but having being released by Wolverhampton would be come over just to ride in the PL, but a good rider all the same
  11. I don't think they would be interested unless the lease was extended, so i would imagine the lease has been at least by three years, i think that was there aim to even consider taking on the club. Good signing for Rye
  12. What has happened to Travis McGowan, that's another good rider that did well at the SBA Mike, if Mellgren has signed for Rye then Kling would be another rider to look at, i just think with Hawkins he could do a good job at reserve, he did a great job for the team when he came in has a guest the year before near the end of the year with Sanchez, but Lee and Seemond will have a plan for the team i'm sure, we will just have to wait and .
  13. Silence is golden This is something like the team i would like to see at the SBA next year. 1, Kevin Doolan, 7.29. 2, Robin Aspregen, 6.25, or Sanchez 6.20. 3, Anders Mellgren, 6.47. 4, Cory Gathercole, 6.30. 5, Ricky Wells, 6.49. 6. Ritchie Hawkins, 5.09 7, Todd Kurtz, 4.38. =42.27.
  14. A reserve that did impress me last year when he came down with Redcar was Max Dilger, beat Glanz 3-0 on the night, i do agree with you about Glanz, never comes off the kerb during a race, thats ok if your leading but not if your trailing.
  15. I do like the way you have put the team together Mike, like Lewy i think it's the way to go, i don't agree with everything you say, but i do with this.
  16. I take your point and i think you have to be more than shrewd, you have to get them before they sign for someone else, but if you do yes you can have a good team, its all about getting them first, it's not like we had the best rider in the PL last year we also had Ryan Fisher to, who would also be a number 1 in any PL team, so you could say we had the best two last year.
  17. I'm not saying Ben will never ride in a winning PL team, i'm saying he hasn't yet, with riders like Cook he started the year on a 7.69 average, Ben came in on a 9.94ish average and leaves you over 2 points behind the team Cook is going to ride for to find another rider of heat leader standard, and thats what Ipswitch will be doing this year and somewhere down the team it will tell. Ancient Mariner is spot on when he says that the boy does entertain, he did at the SBA, but that was for four or five heats in a meeting, and they just let Ben go and packed in behind him, the rest of the heats you could predict what the away team were going to do win them, and that was a pattern for the year, but he was great to watch, but i go to watch 15 heats of good speedway not four or five heats, but there were riders that did match him, he did not have it all his way at the SBA, and on a much lower cma than him, and thats the riders i hope Lee and Seemond will be looking at for next year. Where do they go from this. Lanham, 6.92. Risager, 6.68. Tungate, 6.55. North, 6.49. Poole, 5.99. Tresarrieu, 5.84. Heeps, 4.40. = 42.87+ Ben Barker 9.94. For Ben Barker to fit two will have go even if Lanham goes it will be 45.89, i'm not say all these riders are staying just to to give an example.
  18. How come nobody wanted Fisher last year if riders like him and Barker are so good, i think you are talking utter nonsence not to see why, so Stoke were winning everything with Barker in the side, he has yet to prove to anyone he can ride in a a winning PL side, when he do you can say you were right, at the present time you are guessing, and yes we had a pathetic promoter, thats why he had to go, hopefully now we have someone who knows how to build a side.
  19. WE finished bottom last year, and second bottom the year before, and that was without Fisher, so whats your answer to that, it dosen't matter what team you run if you sign a rider on the average Barker or Fisher is on it will leave you weak in other area's, they are both very good to watch granted, but if you know how to build a team that you want to do well, you will leave them well alone, Barker finished on a 9.8 average last year and we finished bottom, it's like an army having one gun , and the rest of the army have a bow and arrow, fighting against an army that everyone has a gun, there is only going to be one winner come the end.
  20. I agree with everything you say in your post Mike, a top heavy team we don't need, Barker yes a great rider but having even at home did not stop teams coming with a game plan winning on are track, and i think come the end of the speedway season he did not ride for the team.
  21. Brilliant, me and my Grandson will be there next year cheering on whoever puts on a Plymouth Devils bib, well done Godfrey, Seemond and all concerned.
  22. http://www.thisisply...tail/story.html This is the latest news from the local paper in Plymouth, lets just hope they can get something sorted so the club can keep going in the PL next year.
