All best wishes to all the injured riders. Somerset being decimated at the sharp end of the season and it opens up the Play offs now. Their Semi Final opponents will be watching the situation with great interest. Birmingham suffering too of course, and Tom has been flying this season. Mend and get Well Son Lads.

TBH Kevin, I don't know what happened (I am no Expert at anything, least of all anything IT ish) but have a look again now as it should be there again. (PM me if not and I'll have another look for you buddy...) EDIT: If I was clever (which I am not) I would have said it was down for maintenance (Windows needed cleaning, boom, boom).

Yes, you probably were, but introductions were made Sue, and I remember a hearty hello back to the Massif's newest members, so....... And your point is English Roundabout.... :? Lots of bandwidth lost there buddy.....

Now, now. I didn't say that at all and always gave you credit for starting this whole thing off. I really don't know what you were going on about yesterday, changing your mind all the time about the Centre Green Presentation and about the FB page. Maybe your alliance with another member from another club on here has affected you, lol. Maybe RH55 and Jim didn't get to meet you as you sit in the corner by the fence and it is not always easy to get to speak to you. I did introduce both the guys to the Massif, maybe you didn't hear or were busy talking with Pob or the Scotsman...? Similarly, I missed speaking with Halifax Tiger and lucifer sam when they visited the Massif End due to where I was sited at the time. Anyway, as you well know, I am most likely not going to be around next season and as last night may have been the last meeting at Foxhall this season - there will be no open meetings run, including the 16 Lapper or the Star of Anglia, then that is it for me at Foxhall - especially as the potential PLPO Semi Final 2nd Leg has been scheduled for the 13th which I can't make, as I am at a para gliding festival in Turkey that week. So, buddy, it is up to you and the rest of the Massif to take this on now and, as I say, it takes, energy, ideas, time and some personal £ to keep the thing chugging along, let alone moving it to another level. Yesterday I had seven different people using three different forms of social media to contact me at the same time about the Trophy and the Presentation. This during a time when I had told people that I was driving to Colchester and back for a very important appointment. People, including you, changing their minds about what they wanted to do, when, where, how, etc. Then you started on about wanting to be taken off the FB page. I am not a charity case or a MD. I didn't want to run this and I haven't, but I think I have added to it - a bit. Now,as I say, over to you guys to keep it rolling on. I think your idea of organising a social event at the end of the season is a great idea and I look forward to hearing when and where it is, if I am invited and still in this country then. Yours in Speedway.

Thank you for those kind words RH55. Each to his own of course and one man's meat is another's poison and all that and there is some poison on this Forum unfortunately, but hey ho, eh? It was great to meet you and Jim, in the flesh, for the first time and how envious am I of the Tshirt that Robyn Wallace sent to Jim. Lucky man. Keep Coming Along And Banging A Gong, Or Whistle (and hum) a Tune while Floating a Balloon. Make Some Noiz for the Boiz But most of all... Enjoy and Smile.

Really Enjoyed last night. A night for the real speedway supporter and for the underdog, woof woof. Thanks to everyone who made it happen: Chris Louis, Kevin Long, Danyon Hume, Anthony Hazell, Guy Howe, the genius that is Andy Halls and of course the Massif. And thank you to Stephen Waller for his patience with a bunch of amateurs on the Centre Green and for capturing the moment perfectly. It is so good to see CL embracing what we do and smiling again. It seems a long time ago now since Heat 13 at Hoddesdon....... Onwards and Upwards. It sounds as if Connor has been asked to ride in the return leg and a big up to him for volunteering his services to ride the broomstick and for his magnificent efforts on track. There is a brilliant bunch of young English... sorry Lewis, British, talent emerging. The NL is doing it's job along with the brilliant poultec scheme and Olly Allen moving this along in a professional manner and the much maligned, Neil Vatcher. And a big up to Ben Barker who, if the Trophy had gone to a rider, would have won the vote for being the first to, and always, recognising our efforts and for being a spark that fired the revival and for his commitment to the jacket and his team philosophy. Good Man, Ben. We love you. Come back in 2017 please. It is great to see the kids out doing laps after meetings at Foxhall Heath again. Hopefully the Administrators and Promoters will see that this is the way forward for British speedway and ensure that these lads are "fast tracked" through to the PL somehow - maybe by having two British Reserves next season, if that is possible under employment law, etc. I have really enjoyed watching the development of riders like Danyon, JPB, Jack Smith, both Connors (and get well soon, Connor Mountain, you have not been forgotten), James Shanes, Dan Halsey and others. So, we have awarded our inaugural trophy and Andy has gone away with an old tyre to make a table for Danyon. Where do the Massif go from here? On the Facebook page a Massif member has posted that this is just the beginning.... Is he right? There is talk of a Flag and Massif stickers and gear, hats and hoodies. It is up to you guys and gals to carry this on and forward now, if you want to. It takes energy and organisation and ideas and..... well, it has been fun. Thank you guys and girls. You have brought me back to speedway and apart from the one or two (or three or four) detractors, one of whom got me banned from here, it has been a brilliant experience in my 60th year. Never to be forgotten. Massif Memories. As nobody has answered your question in my absence from here bruno, can I please refer you to my Post #96 on the thread for the definition/s of "Massif" and why I first used it to describe the collective of mismatched but like minded fans who has started gathering in the same spot at Foxhall, now known as "Massif End" after baldyman had issued the first invites and was joined by superblue and from there a massif movement occurred and rumbled on and gathered speed an numbers and noise and confidence until it arrived at where it is today, recognition in the Match Day Programme and on BBC Radio interviews and creating from scratch and presenting it's own Trophy. Hopefully your brother and Tigger The Tiger and you will be able to make the PLPO Semi Final 2nd Leg at Foixhall, if the boys finish off the Quarter Final job at Armadale on the 30th. You, and others, will always be most welcome bruno,

That's at least two of us then, which can't be bad

Thanks Scotty. Thoughts still with you and your family.

I don't care who you support on the night Sue. Just keep coming back and enjoying yourself. -
A great evening spent with some genuinely good people with a speedway meeting as entertainment. What is not to like. I don't know how this all started, but I know that we all sit where Baldyman sat before so it must have originated with him and then you guys started joining him one by one, or as in Noah's Ark, and by the time I had chatted to you guys on here and had been invited along to join you, there was a solid nucleus there and it has grown with the inclusion of Anthony and Guy and the Man With The Biggest Jaw in the World and Andy and his lovely family and others, to keep the impetus going. And The Presenter's input should not be overlooked. And now recognition in the local paper and the programme, even now to the extent that CL's column refers to us as the "Massif". And our own Facebook page. And of course in the beginning there were the "Knitting Zombies"who fled when we started making a noise. Each to their own of course and there is more than one way to watch a speedway meeting, but what I attend now is a Social Event that you want to be part of and do not want to miss. Some great people and some genuine friendships and associations being made. What I do know is that you have rekindled my passion for the sport, and the people involved in it, and it has allowed me to make contact with lost friends from many decades ago. I am proud to be a speedway supporter again and proud to be a member of the "Massif". Thanks Guys and Girls. If someone had said at the start of the season that I would have attended what was basically a challenge match on a Tuesday night on the Isle of Wight to watch the Witches No. 7 ride, I would have had them classified as certifiable. Thanks Guys and Girls. It has been a truly uplifting experience and I truly hope that it continues next season, whether it be in a VIP box or simply back on the terraces.

Love it BeerHut. If Gavan joins us, he can come along as Clary.

Good summary HT and always pleased to hear your views. Apologies, but I hadn't realised that you joined us for a while as it would have been a privilege to say hello to a true speedway supporting fan. All the best for now and enjoy the remainder of your season.

So very sorry Joe. Please forgive me for missing you off as you have made as big a difference as anyone and, as I said to you weeks ago (probably dressed as Jack Sparrow in a poncho) you (and Dynamite Dan) are exactly what this Club should have, young, local, English talent at Reserve. You sir have been phenomenal since you came into the Team and proves you so right in taking a year out last season. Well done and thank you JJ. -
Some of the ladies had cups but I didn't like to ask. Yes, great fun again tonight. The Massif have redefined speedway supporting and lifted a team like Lazarus from the bottom of the table and with the changes all working out (unlike the Panters), the Witches have unbelievably reached the PO's and can now just go and give it a go as every heat is a bonus heat and, you never know, stranger things have happened and, sometimes, the team with the momentum, just, just does it. We'll see and it will be fun finding out. Interesting that a Drone was used to film some of the heats tonight. That's getting v advanced for Ipswich All hail King Julian

Scotty, I can only echo the sentiments of others and hope things turn out well in Norwich. The Buffet was unbelievable. Bruv's Bruv brought a table and me and got me in, so no need for the Indian Waiter rope trick tonight. So it is us versus you next Thursday. My oh My, who would have thought it until the Massif lifted the team and then Ben and Danyon came in (not forgetting Danny Ayres) and the whole shebang just turned on its head.. It is definitely a case of where a crowd (or a section of it) can lift a team and the team responded and the Lazarus that was Ipswich witches rose from the bottom of the table. Brilliant stuff and makes you proud to be a Massif Member, despite all the criticism and petty jealousies on here. Diamonds fans saying they had an off night? Well, I don't think the witches rode to their potential either and with Danny suffering a lose plug in one heat and Dynamite Dan missing injured, the gap could have been far bigger, imho. Thanks to Scott Campos for filling in at short notice and so unlucky to drop it in Heat 2 when looking very secure in that position. -

Okey doke but my mother always told me not to do that or to accept sweets (or wagon wheels) from strange (Scots)men Bruv of Bruv and I should be there by 7pm and we should be recognisable (to anyone) as we will have a table with us (I can see one of those Benny Hill sketches coming on here.....) Thanks Brother from Another Mother. Have had loads of offers (of help this time too, lol) and have arranged a pick up with Bruv's Bruv thanks, so nae worry. Still £6 short on being able to get in though, but reckons Bruv's Bruv and I can look like the guys coming to change the speakers over, especially with the mega phones we have, and maybe a hi vis or too. Thanks again all, Really appreciated -

Is this a formal (sit down) Buffet or an informal (picnic style) Buffet? Just thinking that we could just bring beach towels or rugs if it was a picnic and decorate the empty (ex Knitting Zombie) seats in the Massif End of the stand? -

It may not be an Ipswich rider that Campos is coming in for..... EDIT: Oh ok so it is a regulation thing then, damn, EP would have doen a great job based on what I have seen of hime in the NL lately. As I said before this current 1 to 6 (missing Dan) could beat most teams at Foxhall without a No.7 especially as the Massif gives the home team a ten point advantage. Now, I see you rich people have been discussing a sponsors box, well I have been talking about this most of the season but have got nowhere, so good luck, and I can tell you that at Hoddesdon .... (oh no I can't say it as it will sound like I am blowing my trombone again, damn and blast, dratt and double dratt). PS at the moment I am £6 shy of being able to get there and in tonight (including a programme) and I would promise not to nick any of the bffet which I can't contribute toward - though I do have a few Rocket Baboons and some smileys to decorate Bruv's table. Anyone bringing a table cloth? Not sure if I have one. -

Lets hope so. And thanks for noticing :-) Oh dear Dandelion, I was very much joking. After all the rubbish that has been posted against me recently, your post was as harmless as harmless can be. Please don't take umbrage, the Massif love you Dandelion. Keep those posts coming girl :-) -
Congratulations Ellis Perks both on your U19 Triumph and his call up into the Ipswich Team as a Guest.

I guess lollies don't last, but then nor will this hot weather, amazing as it has been. It was so hot on the IoW ferry yesterday that it was really unhealthy.
