2016 Swc Semi's And Final 29/30/july 2016
Reviresco replied to hyderd's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Plus Australia... Would make Event 1 very tough and the race-off could be simply brilliant. -
Nothing against the lad, but very disappointing if true.

Fours Festival Weekend
Reviresco replied to Sings4Speedway's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
You shouldn't have to be on Twitter to access the majority of Twitter feeds. For example, to access the SpeedwayGB feed just drop this into your browser: https://twitter.com/SpeedwayGB They also have access to their Tweets on the web-site: http://www.speedwaygb.co/homepage Hope this helps. -
Glasgow v Redcar (KOC), Newcastle v Somerset (PL) & Peterborough v Rye House (PL) all showing as fixtures on Sunday 15th May.
-
So, with Scunthorpe's home PL fixture on 5th September versus Redcar, the day before Wolverhampton v Poole in the EL, listed as the latest official 2016 fixtures on the BSPA website, is this the earliest scheduled finish ever to a league season for the top two divisions? (Appreciated that re-arrangements will subsequently take the season past these dates)
-
So, with Jason Garrity set to miss the first two home LC matches on 31st March and 7th April against Peterborough and Scunthorpe, due to Coventry riding at Swindon and Kings Lynn, and with only Redcar currently scheduled to race on those nights at home versus Newcastle and Workington respectively, it shouldn't be too difficult to find suitable replacements.

If you are referring to Bradley Andrews, who is a British passport holder, he scored 4pts in the NZ Solo Championship at Rosebank on Sunday, with 2 x falls in his 5 x heats. I posted the full results here, if anyone is interested: http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=80835&p=2738355 (According to Bradley's Facebook page, he had 4 x wisdom teeth out during the week before the meeting and held off taking pain killers until after the Title meeting.) Bradley's new website shows he has another meeting at Rosebank on Valentine's Day: http://www.bradleyandrewsracing.com/

I thought it was just me, but have always wondered what benefit 'dirt deflectors' have brought to speedway.

Chris Harris Testimonial ?
Reviresco replied to greytiger's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
As mdmc82 mentioned, Sarj was announced (on the day that the El & PL fixtures were released) as riding, but Ipswich are due at Scunthorpe on Sunday 20th March so assuming that is why he is not listed now and why Danny King has not been included in Chris' Testimonial line-up. -
Ryan Terry-Daley finished up 5th in the New Zealand Solo Championship at Rosebank yesterday. RTD scored 10 points (2,3,0,2,3) in the qualification heats before finishing 2nd in the 'B' Final behind Grant Tregonong. (For those interested, I have posted the full Title details here: http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=80835&p=2738355 )

Isle Of Wight Wightlink Warriors 2016
Reviresco replied to SpeedwayPortal's topic in National League Speedway
Can't fault the pricing structure, Andy, can only praise it and the Club appears to have set-up very well from Press, Practice & Party Day on 2nd, through the Individual meeting and the 4TT involving all 8 x Warriors. Hopefully the weather treats you well and all will be well attended, go off safely and attracts some ex, lapsed and new speedway supporters along with your old fan base. It will be interesting to learn at what level the Wightlink Travel discount is set and the make up of mainlanders and islanders that attend your home meetings. We've discussed the logo previously and one thing you can say is that from the Facebook page it appears to have got some kids involved, which can only be a good thing (by the way, love the clip of the human car impressions). -
Peterborough Panthers 2016
Reviresco replied to mudflaps's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
There were quite a few missing No. 1's at the PLRC last season, due to injury (Stead, Bjerre, Auty), Polish commitment (King) and having gone home (Fisher). Hopefully, Oystercard won't stick Nico in the fence like he did at the 4's. Witches can do without him missing that early in the season. Will also be a test of how well Lewi Kerr has mended. -
Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?
Reviresco replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
So with no team fixture on 3rd April, what's that, a maximum of 5 fixtures before Klindt becomes unavailable and team changes are made...? Enough for Holub to get off his assessed average. -
Neither Coventry or Lakeside are showing fixtures for the 3 x Friday dates on the Witches fixture list, when they are due to be at Somerset (29 April), Edinburgh (10 June) and Plymouth (24 June). So some decent co-operation there. Hopefully these will all run on their due dates. I'm guessing that the re-brand and race-suit re-design will simply involve a change of Title Sponsor logo and not a change of club colours to fall in line with the yellow and black of tru7.com.

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?
Reviresco replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Provisional Ekstraliga fixture list shows 7 x Friday fixtures, basically being Fridays on non-GP/SWC/SEC weekends. Provisional Polish League 1 fixtures show 4 x Wednesdays plus Monday 28th March and Friday 5th August: http://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/573796/znamy-terminarz-nice-polskiej-ligi-zuzlowej-na-inauguracje-hit-w-krakowie -
I might be old fashioned, but well done the Somerset promotion and I think the Wyvern looks good.

Peterborough Panthers 2016
Reviresco replied to mudflaps's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The provisional Polish Ekstraliga fixtures show that Unia Tarnow has 10 confirmed Sunday meetings, 2 reserved Sundays, 2 Saturday fixtures, 1 on a Friday and 1 on a Monday - excluding any Play-Off involvement. It would take quite a bit of fixture juggling for a Sunday based PL team to accommodate those fixtures. And with Ostergaard's Testimonial meeting having been postponed now, and the Panthers wishing to open their season on Sunday 20th March, the fixture juggling has started already. -
Wow, I hadn't realised that he was still actively riding. I had to look it up, but he's 57 now. Good on him. A great servant to speedway and a good guy.

Is that really Kevin Teager in the same race?
