Lewis Bridger's average must surely limit the options available to utilise him. Would the team's 1 to 7 have to be re-declared every time they change a squad member for a different fixtures?

Rybnik also scheduled to ride on Friday 5th August at home to Leszno, the same day that Hammers are due to ride (again) at home to Belle Vue. I believe that the Aces' Max Fricke may be riding for Rybnik this season, after his season on loan from Torun, and may be in the same position as AJ,

Copy of the scorecard from the Tex MacDonald Cup won by Rohan Tungate (12+3) at Kurri Kurri yesterday, finishing 1st in the 'A' Final ahead of Jason Crump (15+2) , Mason Campton (11+1) and Tyson Nelson (10+0): http://www.kurrikurrispeedway.org.au/Tex%20Macdonald%20Results%2030-1-16%20500.pdf (Sorry, no information on why Kozza Smith appears to have scored enough points to qualify straight to the 'A' Final but was classified as 8th only) Also, a copy of the score-chart from the Team competition run at Kurri a fortnight ago here: http://www.kurrikurrispeedway.org.au/Team%20Tournament.pdf Next Saturday, 6th February, sees the staging of the D-Dub #43 Cup at the North Brisbane Junior Motorcycle Club (Mick Doohan Raceway, Northgate just north of Brisbane) with a raft of Senior Solo riders plus 125cc & 250cc Juniors taking part in a benefit meeting for Darcy Ward: http://www.mqld.org.au/News/TabId/7755/ArtMID/15635/ArticleID/1690/Riders-ready-to-race-for-Darcy-Ward.aspx

I note that on the Stadium Document Plan that your Club Historian, Ken Brown, has stated that: "Overall Australians have won the World Championships on 9 separate occasions, the latest being Tai Woffinden (spelt 'Woffiden') in 2013". Good luck with the project (I remember Billy Sanders winning the Australian Title twice at the old Claremont Speedway, the second time in 1982 which, I believe, was the last time the National title was held in WA) and hopefully the new arena will attract bigger attendances than those depicted images on the SDP and your Facebook pages.

Exactly, and the EL/PL fixtures were issued on 21st when it would have been known already about the non-Sunday Polish Ekstraliga fixtures.
-
The Polish Ekstraliga fixtures were issued on 7th January and at that time they included 7 x Friday and 2 x Saturday matches. The EL/PL fixtures were issued on 21st January when it would have been known already about the non-Sunday Polish fixtures. How has this caused this unnamed rider who was originally due to miss 2 x British fixtures to now be missing 7? Are all these clashes due to Polish league fixtures?

There was a separate Thread on the subject: http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=79860&p=2653150 And the latest in the Press was: http://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/new_judgement_could_force_mildenhall_stadium_to_close_1_4165627 I don't know if there have been any developments since then, but at the time the stadium owners' were faced with costs of nearly £500,000 and a court order restricting the stadium to just 12 events a year should the house, that the couple had bought less than a third of a mile from the stadium, be re-built following it being demolished after it had been gutted by a fire in June 2010.

At least they are advertising some events in advance:

Not sure where you are getting this from, as I thought the rule for a 2016 PL No. 7 was: 'Every PL team has to track a British rider that is eligible for the National League in the No. 7 berth on a three-point average'? BWD isn't riding as a No. 7 on a three-point average in 2016, so there is no comparison with Mitchell Davey. BWD starts 2016 as a 'new' foreign rider on an assessed 5.00? Agreed. BWD was admitted to the NL in 2015 on UK Patriality, as he did not have a UK Passport, and therefore was awarded a 5.00 NL Assessed Average, rather than a 3.00 which would have applied if he was a UK Passport holder. For 2016, UK Patriality does not apply for admittance to ride in the NL and all riders have to be UK Passport holders with all 'new' riders awarded a 3.00 Assessed Average to start the season. As the Patriality 'loop-hole' has been closed for 2016, BWD has been re-classified as 'NL ineligible' and that is why he has had to start on a 5.00 'new' foreign rider PL Assessed Average, rather than a 'NL eligible' 3.00 PL Assessed Average.

EL Average 5.51 / 0.6 = 9.18

Yes, has turned out to be a typo on the website and has been amended to transfer fee now. Makes a lot more sense. Kudos to Steve Jenson in donating half the fee to the SRBF.

Thanks HKP, makes a lot more sense now.

Chris Harris Testimonial ?
Reviresco replied to greytiger's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Would be good to see the current World Champion at Chris' Testimonial and, as you say, Tai would be in the country for the opening meeting at the National Speedway Stadium - and also Wroclaw's meeting at King's Lynn on the Friday. -
If those rumours are true, I can imagine Cam Heeps performing below his usual Hoddesdon standards which would be a shame for the lad and the supporters.

Somerset And The Confederate Flag

IMO, they probably wanted to move away from any logo associated with guns or violence and went down the route of a mythical creature, associated with the local area, that didn't breathe fire but spat poison... -

Would the fee, loan or transfer, have been paid to the Rockets rather than the Raiders if NL teams are not allowed to hold assets...?
-
And signing a NL Reserve as a No. 8 / Squad Member is a bit strange. The step up from NL Heat Leader to the PL can be steep enough. Fair enough as 'one for the future' and it seems as if Danny King and Olly Allen have seen something in the lad, but if it is as a loan signing from Rye House and for Hume to then ride in the NL in 2016, seems a bit of odd logic. As usual, I've probably missed something with this one.
-
Think that's right and also thought that 'new' foreign 5.00 riders' averages cannot dip below 5.00 during the season even if they do not obtain a mark of 5.00. Karger rode in the 'Farewell to The Abbey' meeting at the end of last season and showed signs of a reasonable gater, but struggled with the bends.
-
Its an odd one, as surely Ipswich wouldn't have signed Danyon Hume on loan if he is looking to gain a place with a NL team...? He rode at Reserve all last season for the Raiders in the NL and was announced before Christmas as re-signing for them for 2016, but then a month later they issued a statement that Sam Woods had replaced Hume in their 2016 side after the rider and club had reached an impasse on a private contractual matter. I think I'm right in saying that Danyon was one of Andrew Silver's recruits and made himself very popular at Hoddesdon with his all action style and has been spending the close season with the Poultec speedway training programme.

Somerset And The Confederate Flag
Reviresco replied to drvortexz's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
As Pirate Nick has alluded to, Somerset have already announced a change of team logo and it was this announcement on 19 January that sparked this thread back to life. It seems that some people may have missed this announcement: http://www.somersetrebels.co/news.php?extend.1640 They are retaining the 'Rebels' nickname, but have changed the logo. -
Danyon Hume has been signed up by Ipswich... http://www.ipswichwitches.co/index.php/news-centre/1030-new-witch

Final round of Polish Division 1 fixtures scheduled for 11th September which may rule out a few of the PL riders contracted to Polish League 1 clubs from that date, with currently only Gdansk not scheduled to ride that day. (Polish League 1 play-off matches then scheduled for the next four Sundays up to 9th October)

Ben Fund Meeting 2016
Reviresco replied to stevehone's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Chris Harris now added to the start list for the meeting on 12th March, making it Chris' fifth Ben Fund Meeting appearance. Bjarne Pedersen, Richie & Steve Worrall, Ulrich Ostergaard, Josh Bates and Nicolai Klindt also added to the line up.
