  1. And this was the fixture that was originally moved from Thursday 7th to Wednesday 6th for Sky transmission and then moved again to Monday 4th at the request of the broadcaster... Very poor from Sky and King's Lynn should consider seeking compensation. With Sky lining up five fixtures to televise in May, no doubt this will lead to further disruption for speedway supporters.
  2. Very professional and mature statement from Ben Hopwood following his release from the Eagles. Good lad and, not wishing any other rider misfortune, trust he is back in a team soon:
  3. I wondered how long it would take for a similar comment. Didn't have to wait too long
  4. Best wishes to Joe Jacobs on his return to league racing tonight after a year's sabbatical.
  5. As Lewi Kerr is an EDR and is riding for his 'other' team, 18.10.a2) applies = Guest or RR. 18.10.B ) only applies if the missing 2 - 5 is not a Double-Up rider or an EDR (as was the case with Morten Risager at Scunthorpe), or is a D-U rider or an EDR who is absent due to reasons other than riding for their 'other' team, e.g. injury. Not sure if precedence applies in this instance, more so the rider's status, so if Kerr is Absent due to riding for his 'other' team, then a2) applies, if he is Absent due to illness, then B ) would apply. Straightforward, eh? Presume CL has decided to elect for RR on Saturday as Ipswich are unlikely to qualify for the PLC KO stage now and it will be beneficial in the long run to give additional competitive track time to his other riders. Unless Danyon Hume takes all the RR rides? See James Sarjeant has withdrawn from Coventry's team to ride at Swindon tonight, due to illness.
  6. Full Sheffield side declared to ride at Foxhall Heath on Saturday 2nd April.
  7. The BSPA List for Somerset's team has been showing the enhanced home MA for Tungate (8.13) and Jake Allen (5.25) the wrong way round since Issue 1. And I'd agree that if the CMA of 6.85 shown for Lewi Kerr includes the 2.5% Brit Reduction for team building purposes, then the enhanced home MA shown of 7.19 is incorrect and should be something like 7.37, which puts him above Morten for team positioning and facilities. But does the 2.5% Brit Reduction still apply and, if it does, does Lewi qualify for it still? What appears to be quoted in the Regulations is a 2.5% MA reduction applicable for 3 seasons for riders who have participated in the National League.
  8. As HKP says, on the speedwaygb web-site this fixture is correctly labelled 'LC' under Fixtures/Results April 2016, but I can see that under 'Upcoming Fixtures' they have it (and the following day's Ipswich v Sheffield fixture) incorrectly labelled as 'PL'. The PL fixture isn't scheduled until 17 June.
  9. Shown as League Cup on the official BSPA site - and on both clubs' web-sites (and on this Thread's title): APRIL 2016 Date Track . Opposition Comp. Result 01-04-16 Edinburgh v Belle Vue Tricennial Trophy - 01-04-16 Coventry v Wolverhampton EL - 01-04-16 Lakeside v Leicester EL - 01-04-16 Peterborough v Scunthorpe LC - The wording '(if riding for the 'other' team)' is new for 2016, but as lucifer sam has said, the Facility was available last season too.
  10. Premier League Cup meeting isn't it, but not sure where this notion has arisen that a rider cannot guest for another team in the same PLC Mini-League, but then Scunthorpe do seem to have gathered a different interpretation of the PLC Regulations this season? Guest (or RR) available for a missing Double-Up Rider (or an EDR) when they are riding for their other team.
  11. Why would the wording 'The TR Facility is not applicable' be moved from Article 18.2.3, which relates to the Semi-Final and Final only, in 2015 to Article 18.2.4, which relates to the whole competition, in 2016 unless the intention was not to make the TR Facility unavailable throughout the Premier League Cup this season?
  12. Think Islander is correct. 9.78 available under the Team Limit of 40.00. (A few updates required for the 'Confirmed Signings' Thread with the early season changes at IoW and Eastbourne.)
  13. With the +5% for a missing 1 - 5 in a home meeting, 7.19 is the allowance. Berwick hosting Redcar the same night, so their riders don't come into consideration. Jack Holder (7.10) might be looking for a run-out, but may be rusty and is there a 'grey area' in respect of Plymouth riders being in a current Team Declaration? Richie Worrall (6.84) but has a match against Edinburgh the next day? Ryan Douglas (6.68) has been in good early season form and been round the track already this season? Matej Kus (7.13)?
  14. Ashley Morris (Cradley): 9.06 Luke Bowen (Kent): 8.52 Dan Greenwood (Cov): 8.29 Alfie Bowtell (Mildenhall): 3.95 Danyon Hume (Birmingham): 3.79 Danno Verge (Kent): 3:00 JPB (Birmingham): 3.00 Total: 39.61
  15. Is there an entitlement if no concession is offered?
  16. Easter Monday's match called off early.
  17. Isn't that there is no restriction as to which Reserve, Tier 1 or 2, can move into the 1 - 5? The Regulations state that an EDR has to Ride at No. 7, but don't state that has to be the Tier 2. If the Tier 2 Rider, after the necessary qualifying period, attains a MA higher than a Rider in the 1 - 5, and his MA is higher than the Tier 1 also, then the Tier 2 will move into the 1 - 5, the displaced Rider will move to No. 6 and the other EDR will ride at No. 7?
  18. Won't be long before one of the Reserves is in the 1 - 5.
  19. Would it have made the scores closer if Lakeside had stuck with Bjarne Pedersen? May have offered more tonight, but as you say, early days yet.
  20. Can't see anything in the Regs that excludes Reserves from participating in Heat 15. Qualification is basically Top 3 Points Scorers or Top 3 by Match Average.
  21. Suspected broken left ankle for Kyle Hughes and to be replaced by Joe Jacobs in this evening's return fixture. If this is the case, hope he mends well & swiftly. Kelsey Dugard signed up for the Isle of Wight Warriors.
  22. Now deferred to 2017: http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.30178
  23. 'Soviet Union' Team that rode at Exeter in 1990: 1 - Vladimir Trofimov 2 - Mikhail Starostin 3 - Igor Marko 4 - Daniel Kalodij (R/R) 5 - Viktor Gaidym 6 - Nikolai Kornev 7 - Sergei Tershak 'Soviet Union' Team that rode at Poole in 1990: 1 - Vladimir Trofimov 2 - Igor Marko 3 - Mikhail Starostin 4 - Nikolai Kornev 5 - Igor Zverev 6 - Grigori Harchenko 7 - Viktor Gaidym
  24. APPARENTLY not... but then, as you say, it was a fluid situation, eh Phil... Prize Money for the 2016 SWC ranges from US$ 25,000 for 1st Place down to US$ 8,500 for 9th Place. The Riders' travel and hotel expenses are included in the Prize Money which is paid directly by the FIM to the FMNs after the completion of the Final. Each Team Manager can request up to 18 free guest tickets for the use of each Rider competing at the meeting.
