I have a new mega phone and my harmonica is on debut. Bit strapped for cash at the moment having been the victim of internet fraud, theft from my home, losing my job and then having £200 nicked on Thursday. It never rains, etc. We will be men down on Thursday too, wit SB and bruv missing. Scunthorpe's team should give us reason to make noise I reckon.

'Elf and Stavely' may need to get called in I suppose. Just thought this afternoon that we should adopt a song as our anthem and i think it should be by the trip hop group "Massive (they obviously can't spell) Attack". Now, the only MA song I really know is the theme music to that excellent TV programme, "Luther" starring the always excellent Idris Elba and it is called: "Paradise Circus" - a jaunty little number (not) to scare away knitting zombies - I can just hear it wafting over the Heath at the end of a meeting now (since they seem to have stopped playing "A Walk In the Black Forest" when the crowd leaves.....): https://uk.video.search.yahoo.com/search/video?fr=mcafee&p=massive+attack#id=55&vid=8568f93b1c0f11231b667a863c49fe51&action=view No? Ok, maybe not, what about the band's first single off of their debut album "Blue Lines", "Unfinished Sympathy" (like what they did there: http://www.totallyfuzzy.net/ourtube/massive-attack/unfinished-sympathy-video_592e1c4c4.html

Up the Auntie? Sounds like a Carry On movie, lol. If he doesn't, I have a mega mega mega phone which will knock his socks off from Braintree let alone from the Massif Attack Area of the stadium, lol x 2

Belle Vue V Birmingham Ko Cup 2nd Leg Sat 6th Aug
Reviresco replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in National League Speedway
A great shame for Danyon the way Heat 15 ended for him. Blown his motor to pieces and wrecked his new race suit. Feel sorry for the lad after his cartwheeling experience at Foxhall, he finds the frame is bent which ruins his return to Rye House then score paid 14 on Wednesday, gets overlooked by Ipswich for their match at Owlerton, then scores 10 from 4 at Belle Vue and is confirmed the Witches No. 7 for the rest of the season. Started the season on 3.79, latest BSPA list shows him on 6.82. -
Jealousy rearing its ugly head on the BSF ....? Tuch, tuch. And seeing the Likes, I'd say that is the case. What a shame. We have a bit of fun, enliven meetings, take the mickey out of ourselves, look ridiculous (well, me anyway) and we get criticised. Some people really need to get a life and take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror - if they can see their reflection. I have been very complimentary on here about Berwick fans and the support they give their team, and we get this.... Unnecessary and disappointing. If you don't like what we are doing and how we are doing it, Pee off and stick your head where the sun don't shine and have a good conversation with yourself whilst blowing smoke. Lewy I can accept as he is just a jealous bag of wind, but the others, especially "screm" I am totally disappointed about. " If a man cannot laugh at himself, he can no longer laugh at anyone or anything ". Pathetic really. Never say never and I cannot deny or confirm the facts of the matter. Never a cross word, eh Scotty?

Agreed. Time 58.4. -
Congratulations to Cam on his selection for the Australian Joeys squad for the FIM U21 World Team Cup Final at Norrkoping on 20 August. A reward for his commitment to his sport and his country since arriving in Britain as a 15 year old to race in the NL for Mildenhall in 2011.

Megaphone mark 1 (not really Berwick's honest) in safe keeping with Beer Hut (that must be an oxymoron?). Mega megaphone (Mark 2) obtained courtesy of Music World, Queen Street, Ipswich and could launch a thousand ships. Danyon destroyed his really quick No. 1 engine i Heat 15 at Belle Vuse tonight, where he rode at No. 2 and scored: 3,2,3,2,EF F which followed up his score on Wednesday of: 3,3,3,2+, 2. Looking really classy and quick until then. At least only the engine was a right off and man is ok Would be good to get a collection together for Danyon on Thursday, but I guess they will hold the rearranged Ben Fund collection on Thursday. EDIT: Congratulations to Cam on his selection for the Australian Joeys squad for the FIM U21 World Team Cup Final at Norrkoping on 20 August. Lets face it, the lad has only been riding speedway for just over 12 months. Poultec should take some credit but Danyon, and his Dad, should take the majority. I can honestly see him riding in a British race jacket / suit within five years. Bikes look fast, when the frames aren't bent, lol, and he has a neat style and attitude. Could be a hero of the Witches for years to come. Just needs to take a step back, and a deep breath, as this has been a bit of a roller-coaster for him. His score on Wednesday night shows how far Danyon has come in a very short space of time. Announcement had to be made really, but very pleased as young Mr Hume is what Ipswich Speedway should be about....

Had to happen after speaking with Richie on Thursday as the Witches were having to use a special dispensation to track Jake Knight as a Guest at Owlerton. Lets hope the lad can settle into his role for the rest of the season and secure his three points a meeting and hie first PL heat win. Welcome full-time Danyon, you have a massif future in the sport.

Don't get me started about the blinking "Hospitality Boxes" Cookie.... Rider's sponsors should be treated a heck of a lot better in speedway than they do and when you don't even get a reply to your enquiry... So good luck with that one. Maybe the Massif should have a flag and stake it in one of the Boxes, claiming it for themselves and declaring SB EL Presidente. ....?

And one rider, no names, was overheard last Sunday saying that he would be lucky to get double figures out of all three meetings... -

Good stuff Sue. As the saying goes, "the more the narrower" or summat like that. Massif are strong in spirit, now need to strengthen our numbers. "Power to the Pupil"!

Think it will depend on how many points Cameron, Leigh and Kasper gain against their opposite numbers. 7/8 points each, or 7/8 points between them? Any advice on where I can stay overnight locally would be most welcome. Been a long time since I was up in Berwick (for a Mildenhall or Boston match in '86/'87 I reckon, when I was following David Jackson). Stayed in a not very nice b&b that time. Would be good to know about parking at the track and / or accommodation around it please, if somebody would be kind enough. Thank you. -

Well, can I just say that I would rather have an event like Sunday's than no speedway at all at Hoddesdon. -

Many Thanks, now just have to sort out some accommodation. Close enough to Owlerton to walk or to Spearmint Rhinos to stagger. I guess the tram system doesn't go out to Penistone but there would be a bus service up from the town centre? You horrible wee man, lol Whilst that would appear to diminish the Witches chances, it is great news that Mr Garrity is back and available. One of the true characters of the sport and sometimes worht the admission money on his own, and it is always better to see a team's 1 to 7 rather than Guests or RR. Welcome back Jason. -
Are you Lovejoy? (Showing my age again). Of course you do not have to sit in the back straight stand to be a Massif, but it helps, lol. In my book you are a Massif Member and an inspiration. But I am not El Presidente. Super Blue was voted that in his absence, so I can only put in a recommendation, my whistle blowing friend. Sorryyyyyyy. Thought I was being subtle (for me that was, lol) On behalf of my part of the Massif, can I wish you a very successful and pain free Op SB and hurry ye back to Massif country.. But I didn't realise you had an abscess. Oh, no, sorry "my absence", not "my abscess" El Presidente, My apologies.

I thought it was being worn by Jimmy Krankie on Thursday, lol Think Beer Hut has some surprises for us all for the next home meeting. This thing is Massifly gathering pace. Yehaaa

Oh thanks, didn't know that. Not a great follower of the SEC, apart from the Beat the Bookie Comp that R&R is kindly running. Kent are at home to Eastbourne on Bank Holiday Monday if you are still interested Baldy?

One member of the 2016 Ipswich Witches (and Rye House) Massif on Tour, intends to be there - then sat in Spearmint Rhinos about half an hour after the end of the match. Any local knowledge on parking etc. as it was 1984 I think the last time I went to Owlerton. Many Thanks.
