Redcar Vs Ipswich Thursday 25th August
Reviresco replied to Pob's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It is my intention Baldyman, but vthe weather forecast and my luck with the highways of Britain recently make me doubt my sanity. "Come On Danyon". "Big Ed" at the Ready and on Tour. DHR snapback purchased and worn. Kelsey Dugard not enamoured by Facebook comments of his manouvere at the IoW on Tuesday. Lol. It doesn't for Ipswich. Guess it is a "+_ / -" form guide table. -

Thanks SF, just what I thought and not at all what any of us wanted to hear.... -
Isle Of Wight Wightlink Warriors 2016
Reviresco replied to SpeedwayPortal's topic in National League Speedway
Made to feel very welcome by all at the home of the Wightlink Warriors, thank you. Sausage and chips for £3 was immense. Loved the home made chips. Have made a note to post a picture of the air horn on the IoW Facebook page, when it is unveiled at Foxhall. Will Elf & Staveley evict me...? (Someone should though tell Kelsey that looking at a rider before taking him off is not a recommended tactic - unless its been taken from the Nicki Pedersen Book of Bad Manners, lol, or the Dugard Book of ****...) -

You should really read what you've written before posting Starry?! And you really thought Adam Ellis would improve this season.... Mmmmh? Genius. -

Any news on an accurate weather forecast please as the BBC are all over the place with theirs, between the TV and the website? I am stuck just outside Southampton trying to get north of the River Thames tonight, but am just about to give up and head back to the late Malcolm Holloway's old pub, The Jovial Monk, as it was so v nice on Monday. The traffic down here is ridiculous and I refuse to turn back and go to Poole tonight, unless I can get in for free again, lol. Maybe after Heat 10.... -
Congratulations to Romance on four faultless programmed rides. I hope this puts to bed any doubt about your ability to compete at EL level. The move from Foxhall and a strong Australian season where you were so unfortunate to miss out on the rostrum let alone the Title has obviously been beneficial. Thanks for the chat after the meeting too. Much appreciated. Keep it going buddy.

Apologies for asking so many questions, but could someone who knows tell me where I park my car at Portsmouth Harbour to catch the foot ferry to Ryde and how much it costs? Also, could someone let me know how frequent the "taxis" are from Ryde to the Stadium? Many Thanks Again. -
Going to this en route to IoW v Brummies tomorrow. First visit to The Abbey since 20 April 1985: Robins v Witches League Cup with the last race seen being Bo Petersen beating Billy Sanders for the Golden Helmet with the return scheduled for Foxhall on the following Thursday (25th,) but of course it never happened due to the events of 23 April 1985. Anyone know if you can view the Pits area when Sky are at Blunsdon, please and how you may access the Pits Viewing Area? Many Thanks.

I see that two of our 2016 No. 7's are representing Birmingham in the NL Pairs at Kings Lynn on Saturday. Anyone fancy popping along to Saddlebow Road, or whatever it is called these days, and giving Danyon and Darryl some (massif) support....?

Have just booked Foot Ferry tickets from Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde on the 17:15 crossing tomorrow which hopefully will get us to the stadium in time for the Pits to be open still. Weather looks set fair. Hopefully the stadium will see a large if not record crowd for the visit of the best NL team this season in the Brummies. Looking forward to it and would imagine I will enjoy my visit to the Island far more than my visit to The Abbey tonight. (Hoping to do Redcar v Ipswich on Thursday too, but the forecast does not bode well for that one.) -
Bash The Bookie 2016 Sec Finals Competition
Reviresco replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Well done survivors and thanks again to R&R for inventing, organising and running the comp so well. -
Just the one? Haven't heard from his mucka HKP recently? Now he, along with "lewy" definitely has a problem (or two) with their posts. One being a total lack of a sense of humour. MtM was having a go at a couple of Posters on the Beat the Bookie SGP Thread, but at one stage it did seem that MtM and "Susans1" were one and the same person having a chat on here between himself. Sad really..... Or in fact, Really Sad.

Prem Pawlicki 7 - 9: I will place £600 More please R&R Bookies. I have to tip my hat to Robbie B's flair and bottle, so have to match his approach, as second is the first loser. All In to Win, or Consigned to the Bin....?! -
Ipswich Witches Vs Workington Comets Pl Aug 18th 2016
Reviresco replied to Pob's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Does this mean you went last night Gavan? Don't think Danyon would have been so good at the start of the season, but five months on he has doubled his starting NL average and is knocking out HL scores consistently for the Brummies. I'd suggest Cam Heeps as a straight swap....? Another 100% trier and entertainer and not 21 until October. -

I always credit you Mr Baldyman. Even for eating all the doughnuts..... By the way, my Romanian lady friend says, hello (in a very deep dusky accent)...., lol. -
And James Shanes....... but looks like another PL club will beat the Witches to his signature, like they took the "gamble" on BWD. Does anyone remember Paco and Darryl riding at the start of the season? JJ and Dan make them look like unambitious snails...

Do you want Cam back to make it a full English speaking 1 to 7...? Obviously Rohan's progress this season would make it difficult to fit him back in - not that he'd want to come back of course... Yes, liked the look of Rasmus last night and was determined to overtake Morten who made himself a bit of a sitting duck. -

At the moment... Rockets missing Kennett and Heeps. EDIT: Where does "lewy" watch home meetings from? -

Oh, ok, if that is the case, well deserved by both riders. Mmmmh, I wonder which of the seven you wouldn't keep....? -

Best performance by a Witches No. 7 for a long time, if not ever and at least since Good Friday 31 March 1972...? Would invite Danyon's detractors (or is that "the tractors"?) to comment on last night's performance - if any of them were in attendance... Long time until next home meeting, will need a theme for the last couple of fixtures. Suggestion from the Mad Colchester Postie is that, if the Witches are in the PL next season, and are not replaced in that league by Birmingham, then the management should look at retaining the existing 1 to 7 to start next season. It was great to see the commitment shown to the broomstick last night, particularly in a very one sided match where complacency could easily have slipped in. Unfortunately, as far as I am aware, the MoTM award went to the skipper last night, although Danyon was seen leaving the pits with a bottle of bubbly (and a shiny new tool box). -
You can get Amps with battery source power, but no idea on cost. I'll ask Matt today when I pick up my new "sat-nav" an will ask if I can borrow one off of Georgette and he Distraction or In and Out of Sleep (two local bands that I help promote) .... Oh dear, "lewy" and his minions will see that as blowing my own trumpet again...?! Good effort on the "hi-vis" last night and some of the horn blowing was sensational. Am I reading the Fixtures wrong and there isn't now another home match for three weeks with Sheffield on the 8th and the Newcastle on the 15th wrapping p our season (apart from maybe a 16 lapper or a Star of Anglia - if they do run an individual meeting, I trust that Rohan and Cam will be invited back, depending on their availability). On current form, the skipper must be joint favourite for the PLRC at Sheffield on Sunday 11th. So, what do we do for the remaining fixtures? I am guessing a Halloween theme on the last home match....? Oh, and I trust that last night's performance will have answered Danyon's detractors...? Safe, fast, passing inside and out. One of the best displays by a Witches No. 7 ever, I would suggest and deserving of the MoTM award, IMO. Must have been the new clutch plates, eh buddy...?
-
Apart from me...? Dan looked fully in control last night. Bike set-up was perfected by the end of the meeting, but he is aided at Perry Bar by a consistent track, something he hasn't been afforded in his outings at Foxhall to date.
