http://www.birminghambrummies.co/news.php?extend.2362 Snapped left collar bone after throwing a chain chasing Danny Ayres out wide on the air fence round turns 1 & 2 in Heat 15 whilst captaining the Young Lions U23 side. High speed crash and the bike was pretty much totalled. Was worried sick for a while as Dan was face down on the shale. He has said on Facebook that his season is not over but I really hope that he listens to the correct advice and does not rush back. He returns to the hospital in a week. Neil Vatcher, his wife and JPB looked after him tremendously well last night. Not the easiest place to get from if you are injured.

Can't the Witches use riders like Tom Bacon? Or do they recall Darryl? Or Ollie Greenwood out of retirement? James Shanes .... PLEASE let it happen. Does anyone know how Connor Mountain is progressing? Is it very quiet or have I just missed the updates? (Note to self: no sponsorship of riders next season. The macca56 bad luck is transferred and they end up on the crocked list. Mend well Cam and Dan) http://www.birminghambrummies.co/news.php?extend.2362 I sincerely hope he is kidding and listens to advice. -

Unfortunately, I can't see Danyon featuring on Thursday as he is currently on his way to hospital following a Heat 15 rerun spill whilst captain the GB Lions U23 side at Smallbrook. Shoulder injury and in a lot of pain when I drove his van onto the ferry. Now being transported to Stoke Newington near his home. Tough way for such an incredible season to possibly prematurely end. Get well soon buddy. Onward and Upward. -

So, are we going to see you on the Heath this Thursday Gavan? I am sure that you could bring your own cocktail sausage and a novelty balloon or two to join in with the Massif and obviously your fancy dress goes without asking... -
Apologies for asking this question again, but where does the car ferry go from Portsmouth and is there a car park close by, which I know sounds nuts but I am hoping to meet somebody at the car ferry who is driving tere separately and we would then take just the one car across on probably the 3pm crossing.

They have mad themselves obvious on here Rayleigh, but I agree with you totally. More than delivered and if it were not for the almost 5 week gap in home fixtures, the blown engine in that pointless meeting at KL and the change of track conditions lately at Hoddesdon, I think Cam would've been pyshing Robbo closer for the No. 2 position in the Averages. -
Well, I see you guys have been talking behind my back again whilst I have been supporting an Ipswich rider at Central Park, lol Well, as Baldy said when "lewy" had a go at him earlier on another Ipswich Thread (I can't remember which one now), that is me done with it all and, after Thursday, and maybe Newcastle on Sunday, my interest in Ipswich Speedway is ended. Just had enough of all of it now. The personal vendettas. The lack of support. The unrecognised effort put in to try and get an atmosphere back at Foxhall. The massif expense that I have incurred in musical instruments, bubble guns, balloons, tennis racquets, games, honking pigs, hoola hoops, etc. So much time wasted trolling through internet sites and £1 shops. All for what. To be labelled as I have been. Well thank you lot very much. I hope you enjoy your speedway in 2017 and beyond and if our paths cross I will be big enough to say hello and shake your hands. I trust that you will show me that respect to. I now move on to another venture in my life, but will say goodbye to the Massif at Foxhall on Thursday, if I can get the £ together to pay the entrance fee. I truly hope that the Team does make the play-offs, as the current 1 to 7 is a credit to the once great name of Ipswich Witches Speedway Club. A club that, this year, celebrates its 40th Anniversary of winning the BL League & Cup Double, plus the Pairs - well, it hasn't really been celebrated has it? In fact, has it even been mentioned anywhere? Surely, there should have been some recognition of that 1 to 7 put in place this season? Inviting them to Foxhall for a reunion would not have been too difficult - well, for six of the seven anyway. What another opportunity missed. I really do despair...

Yes, Cam on his way home (to Kesgrave, not Perth WA), but ruled out with concussion. When will that lad get a decent break? -

So are the stories that BV are £300k in debt and looking to get new promotion in asap not true then and everything at the NSS is indeed rosy including riders getting paid in full and on time? -

Really enjoyed my visit to whatever you call Kent Kings' stadium. Haven't been to the new BV but that grandstand must be about the best in British speedway and gives a great view of the track. Great welcome in the stadium and all the staff are first class as are the facilities. I should have tried the food but at least sampled the peanuts in the bar. Brummies fans allowed to be loud and proud and I was allowed to do my "Come On Danyon" with no repercussions, lol. Megaphone siren caused a bit of a stir and the Big Ed enjoyed his trip. Met an amazing 83yo Eastbourne fan in the pits car park after the meeting and he entertained me and Dan for a good while with bis stories from his first involvement in speedway in 1946. drives himself to all the meetings and was at the IoW week when Dan guested for A Ellis. Brilliant stuff. Isn't that Giant Greyhound on top of that limousine a bit scary...? Thanks everyone a thoroughly enjoyable visit, (Talking of BV, what's all this about £ problems, if its true....?) -

He is ok and on his way back to Kesgrave now. Concussion so ruled out for however long and, as he is not wanted by certain fans at Rye House, he may as well go home now and spend his 21st Birthday back in Perth rather than over here. Funnily enough, you don't know what you got til its gone..... I understand that Robbo dropped a chain which forced him and Cam down. Robbo excluded as Primary (chain) Cause of the stoppage, but what do I know as so many people on here keep telling me...? As above buddy. Bruv will see him in a while, though Cam will be like a bear with a sore head (no, not funny I know but couldn't resist and I know he won't mind.bless him. I don't know, he eventually gets another Heat 15 and is well up for it and.... sums the young lads luck up really. Where would he be now if it wasn't for those horrible wrist injuries....? And still not 21 yet. You forget that he flew over here as a 15yo to pursue his dream. -
Plrc 2016....who's Your Winner?
Reviresco replied to Dcb7's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Oh, grow up you two, lol. I have had no problems viewing this season - just finding the car park and getting there in time. Got is sussed now thanks to kitten2505 and uk martin. And the locals may talk funny, but I'd take them over the majority of fans from other parts of the country. Mega supportive, appreciative and welcoming. Nice race track too and I am sure they could put up a couple of temp stands down the back straight for a meeting like the PLRC. Lets face it, they pay the riders diddly squat. Pint of lager at over £4 is a bit steep though - sorry Mr Hume :-) -

Probably not the right place, but hey ho. Massif congratulations to James Shanes on his major European Grasstrack triumph at the weekend. Bad back and all. Gee that boy has some talent and a thoroughly nice lad to go with it. Brilliant stuff. Just shows that the future of British Speedway is in good hands with this current crop of young lads. Guess there will be a celebration in Smiley Racing's honour tonight. -
Plrc 2016....who's Your Winner?
Reviresco replied to Dcb7's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I'd say the state of British speedway is very healthy and in good hands given the standard of the young riders that I have had the privilege to watch at NL level this year. Maybe you should come out (?) from behind your frock and smell the methanol again Gavan. You are becoming a bitter negative ex speedway supporter and there is no place for that in 2016 fella. Poultec and Olly Allen (and others) deserve a huge slap on the back. (Birmingham would make a great place to stage the PLRC in my opinion. The knowledgeable fans there would lap it up and support it. IMO, it has to be moved from Owlerton now.) -
My keyboard always refuses to add the "h" for some reason when I type Panters ... See, it's done it again..

Thank You Trees, means a lot (I was a KL fan for the whole of 1982 - but I won't say why as it seems to annoy some people, lol) One final final thing: I thought it was against Forum rules for a Member to Quote another member's Post and alter it in some way to change the meaning of the Original Post or to denigrate the OP? Well, "Arson Fire" did this to my Post #110 and this is what I objected to. Maybe you did not pick up on this "Gazc", as you are so intent on simply hammering me that you cannot see the other side and there is always another side.

Ok last word on this from me: I just feel that "lewy" overstepped the mark with his personal comments about me and baldyman on Ipswich Threads and none of this would have escalated if he hadn't of done that. I actually thought that we had "kissed and made up" about a month ago, but, no, he came in and had a dig again and that set me off and I can be like a dog with a bone sometimes and this really got under my skin as I thought it was too personal and unnecessary. I will adopt a different tack if he does it again. Also I offer an unreserved apology if I have upset any BSF members. As Sue says, stalking Posts is one thing... So, back to the BSF Massif: https://www.facebook.com/events/1659106357736934/ Is everyone cooking up a storm for Thursday (weather set fare) and where am I going to get a gazebo and one of those wall paper tables from....? And where did I get those Rocket Baboons from as they went down (up) a storm?

Reviresco replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Exactly why I did ask as I'm sure it would be Leigh and Cam, which I don't have a problem with. I think Cam had done ok as third HL, which was always going to be a big ask, until the five week break in the home fixtures which was coupled with him blowing his best engine in that mickey mouse experimental meeting at Kings Lynn. Since then, track conditions and confidence have been non existent. If you had seen the state he was in at Owlerton with even Josh Bates putting a consoling arm around him. He really cares. And I'd always pick one of them over one who doesn't. Just wondered who Shads thought could / would have done better. -

Didn't Ben Barker say something similar last season? Every rider will say what the local fan wants to hear. Berwick of course makes more sense.... -

Kent's HLs v Brummies 1 to 7. The first leg was good, this could be a cracker and i expect a whiff of controversy somewhere along the line. Will be heading down there early. What time do the gates to the super grandstand usually open please? EDIT: Just answered my own question: Gates Open 5pm, brilliant. -

Self satisfaction does not suit anyone, let alone someone who picks the favourite and the most likely outsider, but you do what you think is best for you "screm". Almost like blowing your own trumpet. Congrats to Steady. Now a change of venue please next season. Really poor that Rye House didn't have a representative too, losing the top averaged rider the day before through injury.
