  1. In total agreement with you Mike. These young lads need support and we prefer to watch these lads mature and learn. Give me a team of british lads any day and it was so good to hear the older members of the teams willing to give advice and help to the youngsters. I would think that the majority of KL Star supporters who turned out last night were there on a free ticket. What was wrong with the programme? it had all you needed to know. Once again we hope Adam will be fit and well and back with us soon. good luck Adam.
  2. seen on updates that Adam has broken a bone in his back but has movement in his legs. get well soon Adam. Jake on fire tonight - carrying on from last year. - great.
  3. Yes it would be nice but I doubt it would work, will have to see on the night I suppose. We don't have any interest in EL and only slight interest in PL we just like to watch the young lads give it a go. For us to go to both would be a round trip of 120 miles and our funds will not stretch to that I am afraid. Times are hard. We were on holiday in my home surroundings of Northumberland and took a trip to Berwick last Saturday. See you popped up with a column in the bandits programme. You do get about young man
  4. wouldn't it be cheaper just to go on wednesday and pay to get in.
  5. just been confirmed in a PM....... :(
  6. Is this for real??????????? :(
  7. I am with you on this one. Not enough is done to encourage the british youngsters imo.
  8. being supporters of the NDL team only we prefer fridays or sundays. wednesday nights for us is not a good night.
  9. houses on three sides Parsloes. Brough was where I became an addict for speedway in 1964. Folks can watch the racing from bedroom windows, I would imagine the houses are still there, they were in May when we paid a visit. I used to have to walk through the streets of houses to get in when there was a gate off the street that took you in behind the pit area. Those were the days.
  10. yep there is a dog/speedway track surrounded by houses - my old hunting ground - Brough Park in Newcastle.
  11. Hi Mike, We have it down as Jake finishing last in heat 8. Olly was third. cheers, Mo.
  12. yes, just seen that. hope it is good news when he has his scan.
  13. around 11.15 I think. only went to heat 12 because of the time running out. got home around 12.15am. it was an enjoyable meeting with both teams giving their all. I feel Jason Garrity needs to calm down a bit though. Sad end to the night for Cal, he was due to go to Oz next week.
  14. Cal has fractured his leg. Get well soon Cal. Mo Richard & Holly.
  15. I will be on top steps between first and second bend. just look for the lady with crutches. hope weather doesn't spoil this meeting. looking forward to seeing the young stars hopefully pulling it out of the bag.
  16. all the bad luck was on the stars side, felt heartily sorry for the lads. let's hope they can pull something out of the bag on wednesday.
  17. hope there will be a good turn out of stars supporters for this one and indeed on wednesday for the 2nd leg.
  18. will give them an extra cheer for you Mike. get well soon.
  19. Has some sunshine been ordered for Sundays meeting? At least we can watch from the car if it is cold. Hope to see lots of support for the young stars at Buxton
  20. 31/10/10 1500 Buxton v Newport (NL PO Final This is on BSPA. perhaps you didn't scroll down far enough Parsloes
  21. Well done Young Stars and commiserations to the Hornets. The stars were without Simon Lambert and Cal McDade. Thanks to guest Mark Simmonds and Olly Rayson and to all of the lads for taking us through to the final against Buxton.
