  1. Apologies for being in the Rye House thread, but Luke Bowen had a practice around Peterborough after Mondays meeting. Thought people might be interested to know.
  2. Poor showing by Sam Woods this week, totally different rider to the one I saw last week. Interested to see that he was out after the meeting doing some practice laps with George Hunter. Perhaps he had bike issues during the meeting and was trying to sort them out.
  3. Reserves threw away some points again but i thoroughly enjoyed the meeting. Pity the crowd wasn't bigger to see the a very close fought match. Well done to both sides.
  4. Should be a close match tonight, Rye using R/R for Priest tonight strengthens them Branford also being able to take a ride. Greenwood should go well for Coventry and also Crang who got vital experience last week riding at No1 for Workington. Much will depend on the Rye reserves, hope they can stay on their bikes for all 4 laps.
  5. Strong wind blowing down the straights towards the pits bend. I guess that's where the texter was viewing the match from. Took far too long to get the meeting going after the interval, track dried out too quickly due to the strong wind. Track staff were not resdy to resume straight away as Len demolished the starting tapes with the tractor .
  6. Unlucky that Hansen was missing, but rye covered the R/R with a 9+3, whereas Worky only got 7 for Howarths rides. Well done Mr Sampford.
  7. Impressed with the Raiders last night, thought Kyle was unlucky not to get the nod in Ht 15 over Luke. Sam Woods much improved since the last time I see him , the home match against Stoke. Reserves still looking unsteady but again much better this time out. Hume seemed pleased with his Heat 8 win. Branford and Hughes both team rode their less experienced partners for impressive 5-1's. Well done, good to see at this level.
  8. I'm sure you're right that the crowd will be poor tonight.Think tomorrows crowd size will depend on what size a lead Worky will have. I'm still going to both whatever happens and will hoping for win double. Think that in both matches the reserves will be the deciding factor.
  9. KL must be confident of a win tonight after last nights win over Stoke. Will be interested to see what size of crowd we will get tonight, bearing in mind the Rockets are at home tomorrow at 5pm start.
  10. No way Ryes Reserves are not going to get a F or FX against them on the tight cornered Eastbourne circuit.
  11. Should be Kurtz for Robert Lambert, Simon Rides at reserve. Why is Robert not riding?
  12. Luke was 2nd in the averages so all the raiders can have an extra ride.
  13. Covatti and Branford according to the local paper.
  14. I thought a NEW rule was brought in at this years AGM about riders only being allowed to double for another 2 years and then they would have to decide about which league to ride in.
  15. Could we have used Rob Branford instead of Covatti as a replacement for Kasper?
  16. Seems such an easy solution, can't see anything wrong with that idea. Yes it might cost a bit to enforce but would only need a couple of people to take up the option to get your money back. Surely in the current climate we should be encouraging as many people to come through the turnstiles. Perhaps going forward it should an idea that maybe the new management can do on a trial basis.
  17. Was going to suggest Nick Morris, but Swindon are at Lakeside on the 10th. How about Josh Auty?
  18. A new rule was introduced into the Elite last season, if one of the top 5 is injured early in the meeting, that rider can be replaced by any rider from the top 5 with a lower average than the injured rider. I believe it's falls under something called the IRR injured rider rule. Does seem a very good idea, but the PL have not agreed to this new rule.
  19. Leaves 6.36 for the last 2 spaces, so I presume it will be 2 new riders from the training, when you consider that at start of the year everyone was talking about Luke and 6 trainees, it seems quite a strong team that Andrew has assembled.
  20. Steve finished on 5.36 average. Started on 5.69.
  21. Perhaps Somerset should have had R/R at Number 1 and found someone to cover Brady Kurtz.
