If it is rearranged for Thursday 8th, then it won't make much difference.

The regulations state two riders who have ridden in or are eligible for the NL. This seems to have been shortened to "two Brits" by people, but there is nothing in the regulations that mentions Brits specifically. However, the regulations also state riders will get a new average seven days after completing 4H and 4A, which doesn't seem to be the case. So in conclusion, who knows.
-
Does anyone know when new Premiership averages will be issued? Wolves and Somerset have both ridden 4H and 4A but their rider don't seem to have had updated averages yet.
-
We'd have to replace Dany with a rider up to 3.38 in order to fit Tungate in.
-
A lot will also depend on the Championship to Premiership conversation rate.
-
His average of 7.91 would put him in a heatleader role in many Premiership teams, which is why I think they have shied away from him. When the new averages are published he may well become a lot more desirable.

Isn't the rule having ridden in or eligible to ride in NL?

Is There A Need For Guest Riders?
MattK replied to steve roberts's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Guests should be retained, but there should be an emphasis on better scheduling of fixtures to avoid clashes and in the medium terms the leagues should move to separate fixed race nights. -
I did a quick comparison between rider's final EL averages and their new Premiership GSA. If you remove the five highest and lowest, the very rough average is a 26% increase. That means the multiplier for riders who have an Elite League but not a Premiership average should be around the 1.26 mark.
-
What about riders who don't have Premiership averages, such as those who have only got an Elite League or Championship average?
-
The real kicker will be the multipliers between Championship to Premiership and Elite to Premiership.
-
We don't really have enough points to pay with to make a meaningful change. The other problem is the sheer inconsistency of the bottom four riders. It would be great to get BWD a spell at reserve, but I can't see how we could re-jig the team to allow that, especially when Bradley and Adam are improving, while Emil and Zak are largely stationary.

If you go here and you can download the Asset Register for Poole Council: http://www.poole.gov.uk/planning-and-buildings/land-and-premises/the-role-of-the-estate-management-team/ Poole Stadium is listed as Freeland and marked as "No" under Land Only.

Team And Riders, Points Changeover ?

A lot will depend on the multiplier for riders without a Premiership CMA. -
The land around the stadium was originally owned by Motorola and had a covenant restricting usage to industrial/commercial as designated in the original North Swindon Expansion Plan. Planning permission for houses should never have been granted. By getting speedway supporters "on side" by initially planning a stadium for greyhounds only and then amending it to include speedway, GI cleverly got public and political support on their side for the housing/stadium development.
-
Unfortunately at Swindon, a group of well meaning but ultimately naive fans helped get planning permission passed. This was effectively the end for the Robins.

Kerr is a double-upper, so can be replaced by a guest or RR -

Somerset have been granted a facility. The point is, only an absent #1 can be replaced by a guest or RR. Absent 2-5 (which includes Hougaard) is RR only. Unless more than 1 rider is missing, which doesn't appear to be the case. -

You're correct, cup matches don't count and that's all that Adam has missed. -
Team And Riders, Points Changeover ?

Not just different teams, but different riders within the same team! What happens to Adam Ellis (for example) who has missed meetings through injury, so will not get a new average at the same time as his teammates? -

I agree that all riders should be issued with a new average on the same date. 4H and 4A works in normal circumstances, but given that most riders are on a 40% inflated average, we are not in the rhelm of normal circumstances. -
Someone needs to share this plan with the rest of the team, as one or two of them aren't on the same page
-
Actually, it is likely to be the opposite. Bellego (9.00) is averaging higher than Ellis and if BDW continues his recent run of good form we could end up with Ellis as fifth in the averages. Unsurprisingly, the regulations are unclear. The 42 point rules doesn't explicitly mention which league it is applicable too, so I am assuming it is the points limit for both leagues?
-
Don't the regulations already state the points limit is 42 for re-declarations after the new averages?
-
Riders can't possibly come in on their averages from last season. Can they??? Unsurprisingly, the regulations are unclear
