Just a little piece of info for all wishing to stay in Dusseldorf. Have just read on the BBC's website that the reformed group The Police will be touring in the autumn and are to have a concert in Dusseldorf on the 13 Oct.
So if you are planning on staying there I suggest that you book you hotels ASAP or try somewhere else!
Ok I'm sure there's a number of you out there who don't really want to hear this but on the same night a small concert is going on at Cyfarthfa Castle (which for those of you who don't know is just down the road in Merthyr Tydfil).
I just hope that the star of this show is not the one which is being brought into entertain us before they travel a few miles up the road as in my view the evening will have really sunk to new depths!!
It is none other than the one and only ------
Donny Osmond!!!!!!!!
But then I am probably completely wrong!!!
I went last year and was on the 3rd/4th bend. No problems at all with the Poles although as others have already mentioned they do enjoy their drink! Having said that the atmosphere was brilliant. No problems with us flying the flag quite openly.
There were two pluses to the evening - TRick got the points he needed for the title and Tomasz Gollob won the meeting. I do wonder what the atmosphere would be like if someone other than a Pole won the meeting.
I went with my father who having recently retired promised himself a trip to a Polish GP. He thoroughly enjoyed the evening. He wanted to go again this year but had already arranged to go elsewhere that weekend. He has vowed to return another year!
