  1. In an Ideal world perhaps but do you know of a Club that has two Doctors ,or Two Paramedics at every meeting. Two Ambulances yes there is,but as I have said not much use if there is only One Paramedic as he has to stay with the Injured Rider so no Racing can take place until he/she is available Griffo
  2. getting down to this arguement about the amount of Ambulances needed. If you had 2 and there was a injury bad enough that the Rider had to be taken to Hospital on the recomendation of the Paramedic, then the meeting would have to be held up till that Ambulance came back to the stadium. WHY because the Paramedic would have to go with the Patient,so it is a shorter wait when you call in the County one as the paramedic does not have to leave the stadium. although no racing can take place until the patient is transferred to the other Ambulance So as Vog says you would need to pay 2 paramedics incurring more expense on the club. so please do not critise the paramedic or St Johns in their going about of their duties.
  3. Just the quote about winning track of the year last year, this award is voted on by the referees and i believe takes place in all the three leagues of speedway,on all the tracks, and it is voting on the track alone not the stadium
  4. Good meeting Vog all the team put in an effort the heat 13 was a cracker Ross outgated the lotof them and hung on to the lead no matter how Jerran Hart tried to get past,Rhys had 3 thirds that were earned .He was clattered in to the fence on the first turn inhis second ride and replaced by Ben who rode brilliant throughout. Richie in his first ride was in my opinion forced into the fence by Young and showed his annoyance but he was excluded the in heat six repayed the compliment and was excluded again then had a flat in another heat. Tony flew in Heat fifteen to win from Irving and Hart.So could have been closer or a win for us. Dont think you were the only stoke fan to miss this good meeting, counting the 4 of us I only saw about 2 other stoke supporters there. Cheers Griffo
  5. Hi I was not there on Saturday so I cannot comment on what went on,but on hearing from someone who was there the amount of falls and re-runs wasted a lot of the time, and the injury to the rider that had to be taken to Hospital and having to wait for the emergency ambulance led to the Cancellation of the meeting after the twelfth heat.People have said there should be 2 ambulances, Stoke are not the only team to have only one others do as well and do as Stoke do and call in the local Ambulance Service. also no racing can take place when the Paramedic is attending to the Patient. Your reference to you might think it was done on purpose when the Paramedic did not arrive is completely wrong ,the paramedic was booked but there was a mix up in dates from their end not stokes.Getting to the Curfew as there was still 10 races to be run on Saturday and it was 9-30 then it would have gone on far to long afterwads. There can be a slight overun ,say due to injuries but then a report as to be made to the council but the time on Saturday would have been way over. There is a very sad person that puts down every minute over the time the meetings end and sends it into the council.
  6. As i have said previously Steeplejack no good knocking when theres no one there with the same old Stoke knocker .really has a downer on Stoke doesn`t he
  7. Hi the Curfew is actually 9-30 pm the reason being that originally there was no curfew at all but then due to Stock Cars one weekend ,which was a 2 day affair some of the Drivers were still running and reving their cars at Midnight and after , the council put the Curfew time at 9-30 and it has been ever since,so in no way was Stoke Speedway responsible for the curfewCheers Griffo
  8. The reason you cant prepare the track is because you cant get the vehicles on to prepare. as the more you try to do to it the more you might begger it up. I agree with you the Track at your place on Tuesday was good but the difference might have been the difference in the amount of rain you had in compareson to the amount we had in Stoke, It absolutely histled down nearly all night and continued in the morning only dying down around dinner
  9. Idont see why we should be unhappy that you have signed Adam its a team sport so there are 6 others to consider I like the way that he rides and wish him an injury free season. But obviously the signing of Adam Mckinna is within the rules or the BSPA would not have sanctioned it
  10. Steeplejack its no use knocking when there is no one in,as you have quoted the match at Rye House has been cancelled because of the the rain that might come tomorrow. Stokes meeting on Saturday was cancelled because of the Rain we did have, which by the way was heavy downpours throughout the Friday night and early Saturday morning which made the track very wet and sludgy, and as there was no great warmth or wind to dry it out it would not have been raceable. but then again posters from certain parts love to have a go at Stoke regardless of what goes on the good and the bad,in MV we have I think the best manager in the NL.
  11. correction to this statement it was never an ambulance that was not there it was a paramedic, without one nothing can go ahead, not even a parade with bikes griffo
  12. sorry Vog you were 2 out cheers Griffo
