  1. 56 is a toughie Gemini - must be early 70's given the "long" seat and the two valve Jawa (and no silencer)
  2. 52 - I think the rider still on his bike is Barry Thomas 56 - complete guess but I'll have a go at Frank Auffret
  3. I'll take a guess at guess who 3 and say the Brits are Martin Ashby/Nigel Boocock
  4. Somebody already correctly identified no. 11 as Penhall/George Best
  5. Speedway no. 12 - Bruce Penhall leads Dave Jessup Speedway no. 13 - Dave Jessup/Les Collins
  6. Speedway no. 8 - '82 world final: Les Collins/Bruce Penhall
  7. Pic 45 is John Titman (white), Colin Cook (Y/B). Not sure about the "Ace" though a guess would be Emil Sova.
  8. Tigers_chick if you email me I'll send you some photos of Shawn taken mid 80's from Sheffield.
  9. Philip A I can only echo your comments. I too was fortunate enough to have seen Shooey many, many times. Without doubt he was the bedrock of the Tigers' team in the 80's (remember his debut - 1 point I think) and held the side together in the post Wyer/Wilson years. Without doubt Ray Glover's best signing. Truly a class act and a genuinely nice guy to go with it - he always had time for the fans. "David East" was withoubt doubt a Sheffield legend.
  10. Soren Sjosten did use to ride for Belle Vue. His brother Christer, rode for Poole, though I thought I heard that he died from a brain haemorrhage
  11. Sir Lunchalot - Bibra Lake Speedway is approx. 18 km's south of Perth City. in Jandakot
  12. Shawn Moran Peter Collins Bob Valentine Ole Olsen Sir Ivan (not a fan but he was probably the greatest) Bruce Penhall - who can forget Wembley '81 Hans Nielsen
