Both speedway and the dogs go in cycles i can remember a time in the early 90s where speedway was keeping the dogs going at a few tracks. But the days of them and us are over, several stadia happily run both sports and there is no reason nowasays why the 2 cant co-exist anywhere. Indeed when running stadia these days, maximising the use is the name of the game, dogs, stocks, speedway and gokarts are all part of the mix.

Bradford was a great place to watch like in the 90 world final, maybe katowice might have been good in the 70s with 100K fans.

yeah i remember it cos Carter let Sigalos get nearly all the way past then swerved across him stuffed him well and true. Typical carter. As for gresh, he was my first speedway hero, so i know what he was like, he knew how to put bums on seats and would get well rewarded by away promoters for it. But he could take it out too, he didnt moan like lotsa riders do today about hard riding. Gresh dished it out and expected to get some back.
