Slovenian GP Result
Dekker replied to Philip Addison's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
NP deserves 110% of what he gets here, he nowt more than a danger to other riders as gollob found out. I pity Denmark having to get behind a jerk like Nicki, hope risager/bjerre/Bjarne P/Gjedde/Hans Andersen can come through and show Denmark what a real rider is like. Well done Leigh Adams, a real racer and a gentleman on and off the track -
please change this thread title to the steve and shazz show

Agree with most of what you say, having seen EL and PL at swindon. But economic reality will prevent most teams moving up. If cost at EL level are not reduced then any PL team moving up will need a very big subsidy maybe as much as 100K a year to cover the loses and cost of employing GP riders. The main trouble is that speedway has been largely displaced from the big cities where EL speedway would be viable.. no teams in london, birmingham (not wolves), bradford for example. So speedway is in the regions and in many cases out in the sticks, so wont pull many more fans by moving up. Thats the biggest trouble the EL faces, how do u get punters to pay 2 or 3 quid more?

What Are Sky TV Playing At?
Dekker replied to Robbie B's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Not really, Sky created SSE when the regulators forced them to give the cable operators access to the SKY sports regular channels. SSE was created with only 1 aim, to have an exclusive channel that the cable operators would have no access to. -

Milking you and the sport of every penny they can. -
The AMA wants to enter a team but will not assist finacially, so atm they have a team with no riders.

Cant see woorky going up, as like it or not the EL is a southern sport. however can see swindon going up this year.

Rolling starts in Grand Prix
Dekker replied to Philip Addison's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The rules to deal with the problem already exist, ask why the refs dont deal with that? -
Forumchatroom is open after 8pm for GP chat and chewing of cud.

Trying for WW3 already Jim???? Or do you trying for Mr Contraversial 2003? NP rode his luck, but as you know at this standard you need buckets of it to win. Was very lucky to get back in rerun with his clash with Crump, but thats the breaks sometimes. As for AJ, he got what he deserved, he is very impetuous at times and he gets into crashes he shouldnt. 3 guys coming across him and he just cuts diagonally across them, what did you think was gonna happen?
-
As far as the ref goes he got the AJ/TR decision right IMO.... However he got the gollob one wrong and he got the pedersen crump one wrong too, nikci tried to cut across crump when he wasnt far enough ahead and fell off, as cause of the stoppage he should have been excluded.

British GP - An honest opinion
Dekker replied to ezekiel's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Quite shocked you think that,... IMO this year the meeting itself wasnt as good as last year, poor track, poor racing, and quieter music and where was the dogs song?? Didnt see as many ppl dancing, no mexican waves and no heat winning music. Oh and did i mention poor ref as well as a boring announcer, fireworks were good though. -
Run the CL as a pukka 3rd div with same rules as PL and EL chenged where necessary to accomadate 3rd div issues. Open it to all eligible 3.00 riders form UK, EU and Commonwealth countries. PLus keep CT for genuine 2nd teams only adn the CL open to all comers.

FWIW 1) People, dont leave ya sense of humours at the door., certain ppl on this site are wind up merchants 2) People, firing form the hip isnt always best [trust me i know ] 3) People, Opinions are like noses, everyone has them, and opinions are just that. 4) Mods, there should be enough to do the job. 5) Mods, they should all sing off the same hymn sheet. 6) Mods, All mods should have the power to temp ban people of their own bat, then any discussions can take place behind the scenes after the problem has been delt with. Full Time bans should be left to Phil.

SGP of Sweden - Avesta Sweden 31st May
Dekker replied to Papa Bazarou's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Most likely whose bum was the nicest. -
Rudy muts was a semi decent rider in his day, he ended up in 83 on swindons asset list, at the time its assumed he was part of the mike ferreria deal but he never rode for swindon, in fact he never rode as far as i can tell for anyone after 79/80 for the dons. Other Cloggies are Henny Kroze who was good and Henk Stemen who was bad.
-
Ahh yes the cheating dukes of 92 who in the semi final had a perfectly fit neil evitts helping billy hammill (who was guesting for evitts) get bradford into the final where they pulled the Pickering stunt to top it all off. The farce with hamill cost swindon more than just the place in the final.

Nope my welsh speedway fix apart from cardiff will likely be the glasgow match the night before the GP
-
Camarthen is a better race track, no MX berms there for riders to dodge.

I saw that meeting Oct 82?? He made Ole Olsen look slow and he didnt like that..... was a fun meeting. John John Jorgensen did well in that meeting too didnt he?
