I expect he will be asked to explain his reply about Ryan too, but i would expect you to realise that you would do better to be shouting the odds on a edin fan forum in an attempt to get a rise out of a rider as a glasgow fan. In your position hopefully Ryan will realise your antics reflect on him and he'll want to know what you were trying to achieve posting there? Simply put Cookies reply wasn't very classy nor were your series of posts about him whining and moaning, but at least Cookie quickly apologised for his part in the exchange.

Conditions for both teams meant several riders on both teams got blinded by wet shale and ended up touring around, so accusations of didn't fancy it are a bit off. Simple fact it was a day you had to gate, miss it and unless you could get past on turn 2 that was pretty much that. As for should it have started only the promotions and the ref know the whys and fors. All i'll say is if a promotion gets a rep for forcing meetings thru on very wet tracks with virtually no entertainment value punters notice and vote with their feet at the slightest hint of rain as Edin noticed 4 or 5 years ago. The majority of edin ppl seem to have spoken very highly of the new stadium, especially the new entrance area and the dress of the match day personnel with the only negative comments being about the usual organisational snags that hit any new operation - in this case problems with controlling the disabled access areas. These things happen and will no doubt be worked on in the coming weeks. You need to grow some thicker hide if you think mentioning about the bumps in the track is "continually have to make derogatory remarks about anything Glasgow". Try thinking about that when certain tigers posters constantly refer to "The Scum" on here.

Sparring partner, hmmmm not quite. Re; most weeks, must be an odd definition of most that you use. Being 250miles south sadly both the Dale and the Shiny New Ashfield are'nt likely to see me but then that's an obvious statement. Just looking at posts by the the usual Tig suspects from last season and you'll see a better racing track wouldn't go amiss. You can dress up Ashfield like a silk purse, but if the tracks the usual 1 line crater lined disaster it's been at times since the failed changes started in the name of home advantage, it's still going to be a sows ear.

Quality debate & Gazc in the same sentence, ho hum, to paraphase Jack Nicholson in a few good men - "You wouldn't know what to do with quality debate"

If the weather gods don't stop the match then the it'll be an interesting matchup at the Possilpark Church of New Bling. The New Smug Tigers line up looks better if your looking for instant gratification with Dale favourite Morris being the #1 with Lawson/Summers in support plus The Sarge could be a sleeper at reserve. For sheer white knuckle X Games entertainment it will be "Killa" Kozza Smith playing fence panel bingo unless a hapless team mate or opponent gets in the way. Man to watch - IMO the key to Tigs season could be Berge, can he kick on as a genuine backup for the top 3 home n away. As it's unlikely lightning will strike twice we wont see a Monarchs as good as last years for a while & the Yesteryears Snug Monarchs go with an unusually long tail putting the pressure on Riss,Clegg,Brandford from the start. IMO Monarchs are probably more focused on whom is in the team come the playoffs than who starts the season with this starting 7. But Cook & Masters should be enough at the top to start the season giving Wolbert & Riss some room to get going but the reserves need to score 4 or 5 per match which looks tough on previous form. Key Man will be Erik Riss no doubt, if he does well then new Tigs bosses Del Boy & Rodney could get a nasty surprise. Add to the mix a new layout for the track so who knows what that'll race like given past "reconfigurations" by the likes of the great n godly who ever got dragged out of the stadium pub 3 seasons ago to do the last one. It's never going to be as when Ashfield re-opened as it was deemed to favour the away team but hopefully it's an improvement that actually allows ppl to race. So bragging rights up for grabs as both North of the Border teams fans try to Out Smug each other as the Nouveaux Riche try to embarrass the old Money Monarchs much to the Rain Gods delight.

Might be easier to say why he is in-eligible?

Theo has on many occasions missed Long track meetings for edinburgh SCB. In general i agree that testimonials in all sports are over used.the rules in speedway seemed to change when ppl understood that building teams using averages was going to make the likes of bernie leigh, martin ashby and other long term riders with one club unlikely. A bit of flexibility in the case of Paul Atkins wouldnt have gone amiss while AM is a complete piss take. Speedway is a small beer sport so shocking it is not.

masters is over 7 and sedgman 0.01 under and both in top 3 of aussie championships so easier to make a case to authorities i guess.

I think Monarchs fans over estimate Stevie, it all depends on how Newcastle start the season IMO. If others get off to a slow start the pressure could be on him. Think Aaron Summers & Stevie Worrall are similar, decent riders who rely on their starting more than they should do which will probably stop them being genuine top PL performers unless they pull an Ivan Mauger off in their later years.. Newcastle look like i expect a Sunday based team to look, packed with journeymen and 1 or 2 youngsters who fly under the radar of the foreign weekend leagues who could make it big who will then depart for a race night thats better for sundays abroad.

Yes but then the parties were ameniable to that, something different about this dispute, wonder why. It's clear BSPA will do anything to preserve the rider registration and practically the rider can go where they want, but in this case Glasgow seems to have got Redcar's back up and Redcar are insisting Glasgow go by the book which they are entitled to do. Aaron's probably worth no more than a few K more than the 8K Redcar paid Edinburgh tbh, not really progessed as i thought he would and hasn't been more than a borderline #2 HL the last couple of seasons.

You want him, you pay up? Why cant you understand? Unless you dont think he is worth it?
-
if no loan fee can be agreed, its upto summers to ask for transfer then it'll go to arb if no transfer fee is agreed, ball in summers n glasgow court now.
-
As long as he puts a written transfer in, it'll go to arbitration if it cant be agreed. Said that weeks ago.
-
I'm glad he didnt given the question marks over his fitness. He never rode after june last year AFAIK.
-
Don't think thats the case, he was a late starter and thus never had the low ave foreign U 21 guys get in poland to put himself in the shop window. He's had to try to get a place with fully converted EL/PL ave which pushes him into the top end of most teams. With no previous in Poland it's not an easy job.
-
Huckenback would have to show far better form MrB to hold a 5pt ave than he has shown so far. Hartel looks promising but is a risk.

hence i mentioned abitration.
