Well, they'll have to be good to take MM's place in my opinion. He has a terrific speedway knowledge and a very good mike voice. Ok, latterly he didn't seem to do as much to get the crowd going as he used to but I will certainly miss him.
Thanks Gordon for coming on here and putting the record straight, and not for the first time. Its much appreciated.
Can you throw any light on what the ACTUAL criteria are for allowing or denying the entry to Britain for young Aussie riders? This may help us understand the decision of the MC in this particular case.
You have a real cracking team there. Don't know about the cracking racing though. More like walk over heavy wins. Its a team I would like to watch at away fixtures. We at Glasgow, on the other hand might see some cracking racing as we try to keep up with the opposition. (Sorry, can't find smileys on this machine)
There goes Wethers, Dyer and Barrett who were all part of some people's wish lists. Getting a wee bit worried now seeing riders like these disappear. Hope there's a secret master plan.
Me too. I didn't think we'd be taking that chance again, at least THIS year. Reading some Aussie results, Harley isn't at Michael Penfold's level yet.
If Barrett was to be available, how about Screen 9.18
Grieves 7.57
Tully 7.01
Bager 5.72
Horwood 5.00
Wright 4.05
Barrett 3.75
Total 42.28
My strength in depth team for next year based on present averages and the 42.5 limit remaining. No out and out No.1 but with four / five riders on the up and three / two stalwarts (depending on choice of No.3), I think it would be a progressive team.
James Grieves
Henning Bager
Theo Pijper / Adam Roynon
Anders Mellgren
Ricky Wells
Mason Campton
Mickey Dyer
