  1. Seeing as though other teams are doing it, thought I'd start one for Redcar. Given that the points limit is expected to be reduced (think Redcar were in favour of it this year) then the team will look a lot different next year I think. Wright (if fit) and Edwards are the only riders I think we can say will definitely be back from this years team. Think Riss needs a change of scenery and not sure we see King or Hume back (I would have King, not sure on Hume). Would have liked to see Bailey but suspect the Worky news means he will be there. Mulford could return. Thoughts?
  2. Well done to Glasgow. Peaked at the right time and the Tarasenko signing was a major reason they won the playoffs. Gave the team a massive lift at a crucial time in the season. Poole paid for poor starts in both meetings. Won’t do them any harm not winning the league for once. Not joining in the Poole fan pile on though. Harris still a class performer, I seem to remember a few Glasgow fans didn’t want him back but I’m sure they’ve changed their minds now.
  3. I enjoyed watching the stream more when it went off (which was regularly). Dreadful end to the season for the patched up Bears. Too easy for the Scorpions, could easily have been a bigger win.
  4. Well Redcar are already weaker with guests available, so I’m not sure how weakening them (or any other team) further benefits anyone? Anyway, it will be a good showing if Redcar avoid defeat in this meeting.
  5. Think Glasgow are favourites to go through but hopefully a good, safe meeting for all. Still think Poole will win the final whoever qualifies.
  6. About what I expected but a very entertaining meeting again at Scunthorpe. Bears started well and kept it close for a while but the Scorpions pulled away. Most of the Bears battled well, including Flint. Some cracking racing from both teams. Unless Bears get a decent guest for the second leg the Scorpions should be favourites for that meeting too and should progress to the final easily.
  7. For the Bears let’s hope Connor Bailey has his bikes back after his issues on Wednesday. He was one of the few bright spots the last time Bears were at Scunthorpe.
  8. Just read the preview on Bears Facebook page. Flint guests for Wright (was hoping for someone else tbh). Expect Scunthorpe to get a decent lead tonight.
  9. Agreed. I was probably harsh on him as he scored 7 still but with everything else going on we needed more from him tonight.
  10. That’s true but even with a full strength team it would have been difficult. Glasgow had too much strength in depth tonight and Bears far too inconsistent. Bailey had an awful night and so did King to an extent. Fair play to Jason Edwards though, superb showing.
  11. They’ve decided to extend all cut off dates and time’s apparently.
  12. It’s a nothing match for Redcar on a non standard race night, in not very pleasant weather and it’s being streamed (which is where I’m watching). Not surprised the crowd is down.
  13. Given the importance of the meeting for Glasgow I’d expect them to win tonight, especially with the loss of Charles and Sedgmen replacing him. Bears too inconsistent sadly. Rain forecast this afternoon and very strong winds tonight. Could call it off on H&S grounds
  14. Having an injury to a top rider in the playoffs is exacerbated by the limitation to the choice of guests available , as has been seen in Redcars last 2 matches. The loss of Jake Mulford just when his form was on the up was also a big blow to the Bears this year.
  15. Assume it’s just Sedgmen for Howarth(for Wright) for the Bears. Only saving grace might be that Danyon and Connor might score better than they do on other away tracks because of their Glasgow experience. Expecting a Glasgow win by a decent margin.
  16. Redcar announced a new co-promoter tonight, Keith Miller, who runs Ecco Finishing Supplies who joins Jade and Jamie. Long term sponsor and supporter of the club.
  17. Far be it from me to break with tradition, but well done to Poole, cracking result especially after losing a rider in Heat 1.
  18. Hard to win with 1 heat leader at home. 6 between Howarth in place of Charles and a hugely disappointing Riss was never going to be enough. Fair play to the others for at least battling. Probably would have been a much bigger win for Oxford if the first few heats hadn’t been ridden on a very wet track. They adapted much better (with the help of better gate positions) when the track dried a bit. Credit to Oxford they deserved their win. A damp squib in every sense.
  19. If I had any thoughts of purchasing the stream, they’ve gone now looking at that line up.
  20. Pretty poor that neither team has any details on their website the day before the fixture. Can sort of understand Redcar as we have a home fixture tonight but surprised that there is nothing on the Tigers website.
  21. No idea how the Bears will line up tomorrow or who is available or not. Expect a comfortable home win.
  22. I’ve not forgotten but the people who arranged and agreed to the fixture appear to have.
