  1. Well done to Sheffield - out fought and out gated the Bears all night and deserved the win. All of their riders contributed so fair play to them. Shame to see such a tame surrender from the Bears - Lawson was badly missed, Hall too and Skidmore was a shadow of the rider he has been this season. Can't expect to win with only half a team performing anything like. Track seemed slicker tonight too although there were still a couple of good races with "genuine" overtakes . Concentrate on the league.......
  2. Sheffield must fancy their chances tonight. Bears are significantly weaker without Lawson and Hall and will need everyone to contribute tonight to get a victory. That said so far this year the team has ridden well since the first two dreadful away performances and it would be a shame not to qualify because of an under strength team.
  3. Good effort from the Bears - the loss of Richard Hall round his old track cost us all the points probably. Happy with a point though.
  4. Agree with RR Agree with all of that (well apart from the Wilko bit ). Surprised at how poor Lindgren was - rode like a novice in Heat 11 to let Graversen through. After the poor start to the season the Bears have really picked up - fair play to them.
  5. Keskinen took 3 months to match Rafals score tonight. He gated like Josh Auty with brakes on but looked ok when he got going. I've definitely seen a lot worse.
  6. I am sure the River Tee is as picturesque as the River Twee.
  7. So he is either rubbish or shouldn't be allowed to ride! Welcome to British Speedway Rafal.
  8. 30 day ban for Richard Hall apparently. Not sure where this leaves the Bears in terms of replacing him.
  9. Most (if not all) of those posting anything against Auty are not supporters of Redcar speedway. You can't justify Halls reaction and I am sure he will be punished further. Hope Auty is ok and Scunnys luck changes soon. All that said - good win for the Bears
  10. Bears could probably say the same - sounds like a strange meeting.
  11. Don't know for certain but Summers was looking down at his bike as he crossed the line as if there was an issue with something - I assume it was the silencer coming adrift. No mention of it prior to this.
  12. Obviously the Worky fans weren't cheering for their boys loud enough tonight. Excellent result for the Witches against a strong Worky team - hard to predict any results in the league this season.
  13. I knew what your point was and I think most supporters (particularly Redcar fans who it affects most) would agree. Sadly we had no say in the decision - we can only decide if we choose to pay it or not by going or not going. It could easily backfire on the club.
  14. Judging by the feedback I've seen so far I think a few will be taking the option not to pay the £15 part too.
  15. Decent meeting and a good win for the Bears. Newman had a few bike issues in at least 2 of his races and Josh G was disappointing but the Bears also had mechanical problems to cope with and Matty Kus having one of his all to regular off nights as well. Absolutely stonking Heat 15 though - best race of the season by a country mile. All 4 riders going for it and the lead changing hands at least 3 times.
  16. Steve - been lovely here all day today no rain at all since yesterday. Track almost certain to be unraceable!
  17. I don't think I'll be asking Tsunami for the lottery numbers after this string of quality predictions . Result about what I expected. Far too many falls - I hope everyone is not too badly injured.
  18. Sad fact is the racing, once it finally started, wasn't too bad despite the state of the track. Couple of really good heats. What wasn't acceptable was the delay or the showering of spectators in clouds of dust.
  19. 7 + 3 I think - but he is a lot better than he was, much more aggressive.
  20. Absolute disgrace that for the second week running we (the paying spectators) have had to stand around for three quarters of an hour (getting better I suppose it was an hour last week) while the track was sorted out. There can be no excuses - it has not rained all week and yet we had a starting area like a paddy field of slop and dustbowl bends which resulted in some of the quickest action of the night as the hardy few on the second bend fled from the huge clouds of dust that appeared when we finally started. Why let people in, then have a parade, and then at the start time tell us the track isn't rideable unless works are done. Why not sort it out before the scheduled start time ( a revolutionary idea I know) or actually water the track evenly. Utter shambles which reflects very badly on the Redcar promotion and the abysmal efforts at track preparation. Shame that after the biggest home win in ages (against an admittedly poor Sheffield team) the main focus is on the track. You cant continue to neglect the track because people will not bother to turn up - there were a lot of very unhappy people there tonight. Redcar Speedway - 7.30pm for 8.00pm....or 8;15pm...or 8:30pm Edit - just seen on updates Heat 10 described as from the gate. Not sure that Ricky Wells would agree as he chased and then swept around the outside of both Bears. Credit where it's due.
  21. Skidmore has been advised to rest for a week according to the local newspaper so it will be R/r for him tonight.
  22. Rough Park - there you go , didn't have to wait too long. Track was fine after the work was done (although why it was in such a state to start with and why it was left so late to do anything to it is another question). Yes it had rained but not enough to cause an hours delay. Racing wasnt great but saw a couple of good races. Bears still inconsistent but getting better. Good recovery from the Diamonds to get a point. Move on.
