  1. Yes - but compared to The White Knight (and me) he's a youngster! Sounds like Havvy senior has never seen him ride either.
  2. Congrats to Edinburgh - Cook seems to be a class above everyone else, was very impressed with him on the TV last night. Hope it was an enjoyable meeting - nearly tempted to go to back to the STMP tonight (but not quite). Just announced that Redcar have secured the lease for the next 15 years - maybe I'll be back before it's up!
  3. How many times do you see riders knock other riders off after a race is over? I'm struggling to remember seeing it happen very often, if it all. Seems quite a coincidence that this happened after a re-run of race where the two riders involved had a coming together (Think Auty should have been excluded btw after watching it). Don't think he meant to hurt Auty but I am sure it could have been avoided.
  4. Not read the entire thread but just watched the videos and would only say that if you knock someone off "accidentally" after a race has finished surely you don't just head off back to the pits but you at least stop to see if the other rider is ok (different during a race as you know racing incidents occur).
  5. I have sent an email to the Redcar promotion asking them to withdraw from the next Olympic games - hope this will satisfy the people demanding further sanctions However given how cunning Havvy senior is (apparently) no doubt he will be able to get around this somehow. R/R in Rio! Does anyone know if Havvys request to have all the averages written in pencil in the programme in future has been agreed to? (Apologies for the flippant nature of this reply but quite frankly it's no more ridiculous than the conspiracy theories posted on here)
  6. Yes that's what we are telling you! I don't find it hard to believe at all. The Redcar management are well capable of this. You are asking us to believe that "Redcar" knew when the programme was printed that Jan Graversen would be injured just before the meeting and would have to use R/R, knew that they would be behind by 10 before heat 8, knew that Kus would be riding better than Robson etc etc. It was a cock up not a conspiracy!
  7. Brilliant conspiracy theory but unless Redcar were also repsonsible for Jan Graversen "pulling out at the eleventh hour after sustaining a freak injury at work" they wouldn't have known that they were using R/R when the programme was printed. I suggest you turn your attention to "did man really land on the moon?" Believe me the Redcar promotion aren't that clever ! It was a genuine error and no party involved comes out of this in a positive light.
  8. Those are last months (issue 18) averages, should have changed from 3rd July to Issue 19 averages Kus 6.83 Robson 6.68 surely?
  9. I'm sure the complete reverse could be argued too from the ever dwindling band of Redcar supporters. Still at least those who did turn up got 15 heats to watch.
  10. Been abandoned apparently. Just when you think things can't get much worse at redcar this happens - been no rain all day. To be unable to provide a raceable track is completely unacceptable on a dry day. The promotion (used in the loosest possible terms) seem determined to run down the club. I'm sure even more people will decide it's not worth it after tonight. Shambles.
  11. Thought the track was poor last season too - blue groove appeared early on in most meetings and outside offered very little.
  12. It wasn't under prepared - that is how it is now prepared week in, week out and why the racing quality has deteriorated badly over the last few years. I, like many others, had the choice of Redcar or staying at home last night. I chose staying at home and so did quite a few others.
  13. Getting fewer by the week - Bearstalk forum is very quiet too. A lot of us have stopped going - would take a change of promotion to get me back on a regular basis.
  14. I knew it was bad - but not as bad as thinking the racing was better at Berwick!!
  15. The way things are going I fear that if you do leave it two years there won't be any speedway at Redcar. Crowds are dwindling and a lot of the hardcore support are very disillusioned with the way things are being run.
  16. Missed quite a lot of meetings last year too Ian - enthusiasm seriously waning under the current promotion set up. Along with many others.
  17. Like two bald men fighting over a comb (although I think Newcastle will finish above the Bears this year) After 1 home meeting (well half as I went home when the meeting was delayed) I've decided to give this one a miss.
  18. Can't argue with that - although I only stayed for half the meeting as I left during the delay for the ambulance. I fear for the future of Redcar Speedway with the current "promotion" - the treatment of sponsors and supporters is generally very poor and the current team looks very poor too.
  19. Bit unfair on RR - he is nowhere near as supercilious as Tsunami.
  20. Key words here - alleged (no substantiation) and rules (what rules have been broken?) No fan of Havvy Senior but his priorities should be sorting out the Redcar team not Berwicks.
  21. Kus in changing his mind shocker! (just posting it in a Berwick Press Release style)
