Scorpions vs Redcar - 6.4.18 - Championship Shield

Given his brothers Facebook comments (and some of the responses) I think that’s highly unlikely. People will always see events differently - looks like 2 guys having a good race to me. -

Scorpions would have hit 60 if SW hadn't left the meeting early (hope he is ok). Could be the taste of things to come in a lot of away meetings for the Bears - new riders will take a while to bed in and some others are (sadly) as consistent as usual. Scorpions will beat a lot of better teams than us particularly if the reserves chip in some points. -

Very much a blow the cobwebs away fixture - most riders first meeting of the season. Scorpions look to have a strong line up this year and the Bears have a few riders making their first visit to the circuit. Scorpions by 15 I think - just hope everyone has a safe meeting. -
“Try the truth” Even the response is sanctimonious. Well done Redcar on getting the 4’s anyway - thread has gone off track slightly.
-
Convenient? Sanctimonious tosh. boz was simply stating the fact that Redcar fans have been abused at Newcastle in the past. To suggest it is a problem just at Redcar is disingenuous on your part.
-
As many people have said things will need to be done to improve facilities prior to the 4's final taking place and I'm confident the current promotion will endeavour to do as much as they can. They should be applauded for wanting to stage a national event - the lucky few that can see the racing will hopefully enjoy it Most people have managed to comment on this without using the words "dump", "appalling" "rubbish" and "ramshackle" Can't please all the people.

We can tell you are pleased

The nearly 5000 included a lot on the banking above the back straight which is not open now. Viewing only available from bend 4 to bend 2 . Additional temporary stands will be needed to let everyone have a decent view. Im pretty confident the promotion will have all this in hand - they’ve done a good job so far.

Busch is final rider. A team built to a budget and with only 1 real heat leader but a potentially strong reserve pairing. Solid but unspectacular.
-
Jordan Stewart confirmed.

I know Redcar has a sandy beach but desert is stretching it a bit (plus as we know if you get to Redcar you've gone well past the track). Good news for the Track and promotion though - hope the weather is kind and it's a success.

Amongst all the numerous pages of finger wagging and faux outrage at one person posting the JBA misinformation, this post seems to have been forgotten. Was the "expected" one announced?
-
One of the next signings will be a new club asset apparently.
-
JBA announced as rider No.3
-
Theo Pijper is 2nd rider signed.
-
Does this mean they have turned ......................to the Dark Side!!
-
Personally I don't have a problem with it (even though I won't be attending on the 22nd) and they are stating the reasons why they are doing it Any comparisons to the Havelock era are unfair imo.

https://twitter.com/redcarbears/status/938739498430730240 Seems like the Bears line up is pretty much sorted. Cant argue with them being honest as to why the names are to be revealed at the next Social night.
-
Taken from the Bears website "Keay and Duffill are known to be scouring the globe with a good chance that an established rider, not currently associated with a British club, could shortly be on the way to Teesside." Let the guessing begin...
-
Barker confirmed as back at Redcar on Bears twitter account.
-
Bukhave looked a much improved rider on his couple of meetings at Redcar last year so I think most Bears fans would be happy to have him if he could ride at Reserve.

Newcastle Doubble Header 22 October

We already seem to have "consistently applied stupidity" in the sport so at least we are off to a good start (or possibly all 4 back with a warning for Garrity) -

Just read that Redcar will be using 6 guests and R/R at Sheffield on Thursday. They had wanted to use Jacob Bukhave as he's a Redcar asset but this has been refused (you cant have riders riding for their own team apparently). I assume the team line up will be similar on Sunday.
