  1. If riders deliberately move the referee warns them, then if they do it again they get excluded - like Stewart was tonight. There’s 2 of your “deliberate” tactics straight away ( neither of which benefitted the Bears).
  2. Taken it well I see. I’d respectfully suggest your point about the Bears moving to put the rider next to them off is wrong and the sour taste in your mouth is actually sour grapes. Nothing at all under hand about Andersen not riding tonight (he had a decent meeting in Denmark tonight though if you are interested)
  3. Good solid performance from the Bears. Think a few things fell our way (Proctors poor points return in the first leg being a major one) but you need a bit of luck to progress sometimes.
  4. I assume we needed a 2 point rider when we got Riss as a new Nr1 to stay below the points limit.
  5. Alternatively - the curfew is 10:30 and the result was called after the last race that finished before this time. If the Bears had got a 3-3 than they would have got a point. Understand the frustration.
  6. My reverse psychology worked ;) Well done Bears!
  7. Stewart not riding for the Bears makes a difficult meeting much harder in my opinion. Expecting an away victory in this one.
  8. This is the last paragraph - nice to see some praise. “word for the Redcar promotion. What a great setup they have, centre green immaculate, track in great condition and everything running like clockwork. A super place to watch Speedway.”
  9. Well if Redcar weren't upto much last night (according to some) then Heeps aside you would have to say the Monarchs were very poor. Good solid performance - Stewart, MPT and Wright all good and solid back up. Wells a major let down for the Monarchs and 1 point from 8 rides at reserve is abysmal. Heeps was fantastic though and produced a brilliant last to first ride in Heat 15 that was as good as you''ll see anywhere.
  10. Ostergaard confirmed as the replacement for Barker. Expected this to be honest, not a massive amount of riders to choose from based on the current averages.
  11. Fair point - it's such a shame to see the stands practically empty when the racing is as good as it is.
  12. Really enjoyable meeting with some cracking racing. Ipswich fully deserved at least a point. As a neutral I'd be perfectly happy if BT just showed Belle Vue home meetings - far more entertaining than just about any other track in the Premiership
  13. I don't think he will be riding for anyone for a while. Always enjoyed watching Ben ride for Redcar - hope he can get things sorted.
  14. I did read what you wrote. You said “we would agree with your points at the time” when clearly , at the time, we didn’t. And rarely since
  15. The fact that your original post was in response to a few of us Redcar fans wanting him in the team plans for 2018 would suggest we didn't agree at the time. He had shown improvement in the few visits he had made to Redcar after his initial spell, hence why some of us wanted him to get a place with the Bears. It's not a sign of weakness to admit you've come around to our way of thinking It was his assessed average that made it difficult to get a team place.
  16. You have obviously mellowed in your opinion of Jacob then over the years as you wrote this when a few of us Redcar fans wanted him in our 2018 team. "Seriously, what is it that Redcar fans see in Bukhave that the rest of us can't see. I saw a hard trying rider going nowhere, but hanging around to make himself available. I am aware of a personal attachment he may have with Redcar, but I think Konopka was a better bet than Bukhave. Honest opinion." Anyway at least his hanging around presented him an opportunity
  17. Home already after one of the quickest run meetings I've been to at MPA. 15 heats, an interval and 4 grading breaks and all complete in 1 hour 30 minutes (thought it was going to be quicker after the first 7 heats were complete in 30 minutes). Well done to all concerned, other tracks should take note. Good win for the Bears and a very good team performance with all of the riders (except Tom) getting at least 1 win or paid win. Wright his usual excellent self, Stewart rapidly improving and Ben and MPT with good wins. Jack Smith rode very well too and battles for every point. The Rebels were a 4 man team - Harris was his usual hard riding self and produced some good passes, Schlein was good until his last ride, Kurtz was fast when he gated and Covatti was solid enough. The other 3 hadn't rode at Redcar before and struggled. Not a classic by any means but some decent racing. Hopefully 17 points is enough but you never know with the Bears.
  18. Had to miss this one as I was “Dads Taxi” for the evening. Followed the updates and sounds like a good meeting. Pleased for MPT as there were some Redcar fans already calling for him to be replaced.
  19. Well deserved win for a very solid Leicester side who just about all contributed to a good away win. Nicholl's best meeting at the STMP by a long way and excellent back up from RTR, Douglas and Perks (lucky to get a second chance in Heat 1 though). Special mention to Connor Mountain who was very good to watch. For the Bears the meeting started badly and never got much better. You can't win with just one Heat leader riding well - Wright was as excelllent as usual but Barker had his worst home meeting in a very long time and MPT is a pale shadow of the rider who rode so well as a visiting rider here over the years. Stewart picked up after a slow start and the reserves battled.Hope Tom isn't to badly hurt. Still some cracking racing (a lot of it by the visitors) and it least we get some entertainment. Results like this will happen to this Bears team because we have a very fair and good race track.
  20. Well after a few FTG races to start with we saw some excellent racing again. Charles Wright is surely one of the top few riders in the league now and his Heat 11 ride was worth the entrance money alone. Hopefully his fall in Heat 15 didn't cause any damage. The rest of the Bears all battled (literally in Greaves case) and looked a solid outfit. Jordan Stewart is a much improved rider this year. For the Tigers - the top 3 all started like trains but didn't get enough support. Kemp looks a very good prospect though and could easily have scored more. Still think they are one of the strongest sides in the league Crowd was down on last week but credit to the promotion (for starting on the time) and the Ref for not hanging about between heats - without a couple of re-runs the meeting would have been complete in 1 and a half hours which on a cold night is a definite plus.
  21. Tough meeting for the Bears - Tigers look very strong and they have a lot of riders who ride the track well. Not surprised Sheffield are confident and will need an excellent performance from Redcar to win. If it's close and the racing is as good as last week it'll be a entertaining night.
  22. Would have been pleased to have won on aggregate, so to win on the night is a bonus. Probably a good time to ride at Newcastle with the fact they had a few new faces in the team and their first home meeting. Charles is a class act these days and excellent from Nathan tonight. Bit more back up from the rest of the team (let’s tell Bacon that every race is Heat 1) so we could even afford MPT to have a poor night (for him) at Brough.
