  1. Updated press release, that’s why I posted the news.
  2. Doesn’t say that on the press release.
  3. First 2 signings will be announced on Saturday night.
  4. Agree - Wright, Riss, Stewart, Andersen and 3 others, would be fine by me.
  5. On BBC Tees today Jitendra said he hoped to be in a position to have the full line up sorted within a week of the AGM.
  6. Looks like another Teesside takeover of Tyneside if the rumours are true. Personally think it would be good news for Newcastle.
  7. Obviously very pleased as a Redcar fan with the win but the Diamonds put up an excellent fight and it got too close for comfort at the end. The big guns pulled it out when needed but the contribution of Jordan Stewart was critical. To score 9 points on a track he’s struggled massively on before was a massive boost and his Heat 14 win was vital. Pleased for the promotion after the difficult few seasons we’ve had. Glad I watch my regular speedway at Redcar.
  8. Unfair. Barker rode really hard. Was harshly excluded (Phillips admitted he locked up) and fell giving it maximum effort.
  9. Congratulations to the Lions. Fitting that the team who have been the best team all season are the league champions.
  10. Can’t do next Sunday either (although Monday is a possibility). Might this mean we can weaken the team and get Ellis to guest?
  11. No worries THJ, had me doubting I’d called “our” league the right name for a moment when I read your initial response.
  12. The Bears website said that Wright (and therefore I assume Ully) will be riding as Championship takes priority on a Sunday.
  13. Bears website confirms that Charles Wright will be riding for Redcar on Sunday but doesn't say if Ellis still guests in replace of MPT.
  14. Blaming me for what Mrs Yearbyred said? I agree with you about my boyish good looks!
  15. Hope the weather is kinder next weekend (assuming the provisional date stays), couldn't make it tonight but may venture up next weekend. Last time I was there, Bobby Beaton had a cracking meeting, does he still ride?
  16. If I was George English I would print that out, not change the words and post it all around the pits. Everyone knows about motivation.
  17. I’m not post quoting but can I just say that I am not related to Bagpuss and no money has been exchanged. Thanks for the kind words. Bears gave it their best shot but were beaten by a very good team, so no disgrace in that. Always try to give credit to the opposition if I feel they deserve it. Desperately wanted the Bears to win but wasn’t to be.
  18. Well we did pay for those dropped points as I feared. Still a good effort by the lads to take it to the last heat. Thanks to Jake Allen again for his excellent service the last 2 nights. Congratulations to the Lions, they’ve been the best team all season and I hope they go on and win it. Bears deserve something out of this season so hope they can pick themselves up for the second leg of the KOC.
  19. Heat 9 was a 3-3 not a 2-4 I seem to remember (as someone who doesn’t fill in a programme) 51-39.
  20. It is 12 - I was saying I would have been happy with 10 before the start, but felt a bit let down it wasn’t more than 12 given we were ahead by a decent amount mid meeting.
