  1. What average would Jesus Christ come in on?
  2. If that’s the case then assume it’s in place of Kerr as all the rumours seem to say Riss is coming back?
  3. Bears, Boro & Browns

  4. That narrows it down ......to most riders in the league. If the other 6 are right then it doesn't leave us much for the last rider anyway.
  5. My reading of the rules is that if he is eligible for the NDL (UK passport and ACU licence) it will be 2. If he hasn't got those, and he hasn't ridden in a professional league, it will be 4. But it's speedway, so who knows?
  6. Congratulations to Poole. Some of their fans will be unbearable now. So no change there.....
  7. I’m not sure a post that starts “ I’ve been Sarjeants biggest critic” backs up your point, but there you go. Rowe is a good prospect but hardly set the world on fire after he left us. Promoters did what they thought was best for the team overall. Even if MPT had been replaced by Ben Barker it would have made no difference overall, the other riders didn’t score well enough in either meeting and the Monarchs rode better.
  8. Well done to the Panthers. Some great racing over the 2 matches. Thought Belle Vue would have put up more of a fight.
  9. Well I’m in the “ he tried and it didn’t work out” camp. I’ll leave the conspiracy theories to everyone else.
  10. Makes a change from you having a go at Sargy, I suppose. Or just moaning generally. I’m enjoying his performance. Genuinely think it’s just the timing of the meetings that have worked against MPT and the Bears. He’s been a great rider for the Bears and to suggest otherwise is poor imo.
  11. This lad Palm Toft looks good for the Panthers. Such a shame he couldn’t ride for the Bears in these matches....
  12. Couple of meetings too far for the Bears, who were always up against it in the circumstances. Sad way to end the season and not a true reflection on how the team has performed overall. Edinburgh seem to have hit a bit of form and Kemp finding his feet at home certainly helps. Good luck for the rest of the season.
  13. Might have bothered with the stream if we had a full team out but MPT missing both legs has made this much less attractive for a Bears fan. Hope it’s a decent meeting still and no more injuries.
  14. About what I expected. Monarchs riding well and Bears struggling with 2 from R/R. Congrats to the Monarchs.
  15. I see Rowe has now pulled out with an injured knee. Another boost for the Monarchs giving Thomson and Flint more rides.
  16. When the Rising Star rule was introduced did the authorities never take into consideration the effect it would have on the Scottish Referendum question? Honestly the BSPA need to get their act together..... Anyway, back to the speedway - How's the weather looking for tonight?
  17. Agree it’s the rules that are the issue and not Edinburgh’s use of them. Not sure either leg will survive the weather (if the forecasts are correct) but the Bears are well up against it, given the loss of MPT and Edinburgh’s recent form.
  18. Agree, can’t blame Edinburgh for using the system as it currently stands to get a good replacement for Kemp. It’s the rule that’s the issue, as it has been all season. The rules mean the Bears have to have 3 of MPT’s rides covered by riders whose averages are well over 3 below his average.
  19. Drew Kemp riding in the U21’s on Friday now. Back for the return leg on Sunday. Also just announced that Tofty is unfit so Bears operating R/R which is a massive blow to the Bears chances. Edinburgh must be strong favourites now to go through.
  20. Massive blow if MPT can’t ride (nice of Rob Lyon to say he needs a weeks rest). Bears considerably weaker with R/R.
  21. Poole will be too strong I reckon, fairly comfortable home win. If the Bears can get a point I'd be happy. Shame there is no stream, I would have watched.
  22. Thought it was a cracking meeting and would have said the same even if the Lazarus Bears hadn’t pulled off another miraculous comeback. Leicester were electric out of the starts early on and stormed into a 12 point lead after 8 heats.Thought Ht 14 had scuppered our chances but 5-1 in Heat 15 squared it all up. Wrighty back to his best and Kerr fantastic. MPT had a rare off night and Allen struggled more than usual (not through lack of effort). Great last ride from Jenkins too. For Leicester - Howarth, Morris, Kennedy, Douglas all showed they like the Redcar track and contributed to some good races. Bears continue to struggle early in meetings and it will be their downfall in the playoffs but it was another good, entertaining speedway meeting in front of a large crowd. A good night out.
  23. To be fair Steve, I know your Dad and my dad was bigger!
  24. Yes it’s Redcar who are damaging the image of British Speedway. Utter tosh (apparently I can’t say bollocks) If Birmingham are so convinced they have been wronged they would be putting in a formal protest rather than saying on their website “It just wasn’t going our way, but we’ve got to forget today now, start again and go to Edinburgh and get a win in the KO Cup”
