Good idea. Might stop them making rubbish decisions. But I doubt it.
-
Yes that’s the one. Directly in line with the start and finish line. 72.18 yards away according to google maps.
-
Yes - an opinion based on my own eyes (from a perfect position to see who crossed the line first). Saying it as I saw it, as I always do and try to be fair to both teams. Everyone around me actually laughed when the result was announced.
-
Three when you count the decision that sparked the incident.

Morris added to the entertainment last night. He’s a real racer and can understand why he was upset at the Heat 11 decision. As long as he wasn’t abusive I have no issue with his actions, a pantomime villain always gives a bit of interest.

Well it’s a pity that the meeting wasn’t streamed as that was easily the best meeting at Redcar this year on a bitterly cold night. Lions deserved their point and it could have been closer if Morris hadn’t dropped points with and EF and the, quite frankly, ludicrous decision to award Riss the win in Heat 11 (awaits someone to tell me they were right in line and the ref was right) For the Bears the top 3 were as consistent as usual but it was Andersen picking up a decent score that tipped it Bears way. For the Lions Morris, Worrall and Rowe were excellent value but a disappointing return from Jorgensen cost them. Some cracking, close racing on an excellent track, Heat 15 in particular was a fantastic race. Meeting rattled along at a good pace and was over in less than an hour and a half, which was much appreciated considering how cold it was.

I think with Ben Duffill being the man behind the British Speedway Network and stepping down from his role with the Bears, it might be the end of streaming every match at Redcar? Just a guess though, no inside info.
-
I think the Lions website still says that Redcar is streaming the match, when they aren’t.

Redcar have a second ambulance this season. What’s the cost of an abandonment?

Pretty sure Leicester will score well at Redcar on Friday.
-
Not a bad meeting. Bears heat leaders very good, second strings not so good. Special praise to Jason Edwards who rode (and battled) really well tonight. For the Brummies, Ellis was very good and most other riders chipped in. Pearson looks like a very good prospect considering his age and it being his first visit to the track.

Awful news. Sympathies to his family and friends. There was no greater advocate or enthusiast for Speedway than Nigel at a time when the sport needs it more than ever. RIP

Think Stefan Nielsen will be a busy man this evening. Normally goes well here and could well get a few extra rides. Ellis said Redcar is his favourite track and he seems to be riding well and Vissing has had good meetings here. Need Kasper and Adam to look a bit sharper and I think a narrow Bears win on the cards.

As a Redcar fan I agree that the ref got two decisions wrong, Riss should have been excluded for bringing down Gilkes and Harris clearly beat Kerr. Plymouth will think they could easily have more points than they gained. Not a great meeting, too stop start after the racing incidents, more tractor racing than we normally see on a bitterly cold night.

No is the short answer.
-
They do, particularly around Redcar. Depends what version of Anderson turns up but he is obviously capable of a good score. Think a lot will depend on the performance of the second strings and reserves - if Roynon and Andersen can pick up points and if Jenkins/Edwards can take more points than Gilkes (who is another one who scored well in U19 fixtures here) the Bears should get a narrow victory. Weather seems set fair, blue skies and sunshine but it's going to a cold evening. Hope it's a good meeting for those who are watching the stream tonight.

Harris scores double figures most times he visits Redcar, so is almost certainly a significant upgrade on Kennett. Lawson would have been a good choice too. Most teams would be weakened without their No.1, not the case for Plymouth in this meeting. MPT has shown good form on tracks he likes (Peterborough, Belle Vue) already this season so I expect him to score well too. Hope the track dries out in time, horrible weather the last couple of days.
-
I’m pretty sure MPT and Barker will contribute more than the 8 between them they scored last night.
-
Harris guesting for Kennett strengthens Plymouth. Pretty sure the Gladiators will fancy their chances, with both MPT and Barker being ex Bears heatleaders, Harris always scores well here and Gilkes likes the track. Expecting a close meeting.

I think he meant he scored very Lidl… -
Think this thread was better when no one had replied and just liked the original comment. Dragging up old disputes seems pointless.

Redcar v Newcastle Tyne Tees Trophy 25/03/22

I actually think a lot of teams will score 40 plus at Redcar. Most visiting teams will be a lot stronger than the Diamonds and most teams go well here.
