The poole crowd on Wednesday did seem down on previous finals i had attended there. Last nights crowd at Lynn was probably the biggest since the world cup was last staged there.
Coventry has been a dead duck from the start really. Poor crowds and infrequent meetings have set the tone for the whole season. Some strange cancellations have not helped the club at all.
I went to both legs, and racing wise they were pretty poor meetings. The crowd at Lynn last night was excellent, which proves the play offs still have appeal with the paying public. Getting those people to turn up on a regular basis, is another matter.
It is what it is. The standard is so low now, top flight racing in this country doesent exist anymore. This years championship level will probably be next seasons top league.
The panthers have survived quite a few of these scares over the years. With the sport at its lowest ebb in living memory, a knight in shining armour will be harder to find this time.
Well i visit both, and if Kent are racing in a higher league next season, that's where I'll be going. You also have to add in the factor of Rye House running on saturdays as well. Not an ideal situation for fans in the south east.
You couldn't make it up really. Eastbourne try to run when every weather forecast is against it, yet today is off when its bone dry. Who would plan anything around speedway fixtures.
