  1. It seems like they're running on saturday and Wednesday, but the opposition has not been decided!
  2. Well i visit both, and if Kent are racing in a higher league next season, that's where I'll be going. You also have to add in the factor of Rye House running on saturdays as well. Not an ideal situation for fans in the south east.
  3. No news on the Arlington leg, the clock is ticking.
  4. Considering collins was past his best, his performance in the 1984 word pairs final at Lonigo was something special. The heat that day was unbearable.
  5. You couldn't make it up really. Eastbourne try to run when every weather forecast is against it, yet today is off when its bone dry. Who would plan anything around speedway fixtures.
  6. Never left the house tonight, which is unusual for me.
  7. I'm suprised tonight's meeting hasn't been called off. The forecast for today is awful. Watching the GP on the box is looking more likely for me.
  8. Too right. It was bloody freezing at Rye last Saturday.
  9. Far too risky with the weather as it is. I can see Eastie running a double header at some point.
  10. I agree. I would never miss live sport to stay at home and watch TV, but there are plenty that think otherwise.
  11. With the final GP live on the box and a dodgy weather forecast, it's gonna be a poor crowd if it is on.
  12. Rye is like riding on concrete, I wouldn't be suprised if they didn't last a meeting on that track.
  13. Thanks for the information. I just hope that this Saturday's unsettled weather forecast doesent lead to another double header!!!
  14. It was a strange one at Kent last night, a Mildenhall rider was treated for an electric shock from his bike. Luckily he was ok, and the fifteen heats were just about squeezed in.
  15. That's no justification for pulling the plug. If the admission price was £34, the stadium would have been empty.
  16. Well I was there on saturday, and I don't like being short changed for something I have paid for. Speedway fans are taken for mugs on a regular basis by the promoters. If Rye House had received complaints from the neighbours, then a simple statement on their website would have helped explain the situation.
  17. The second match was in the KOC, and lakeside were already eliminated after heat 13. There is no question from me regarding underhand tactics, just the validity of an unknown curfew.
  18. Start earlier if you can't guarantee to run the meeting, or don't run double headers. I think that only a couple were ever staged at Arena Essex on an evening. From memory the last one ended close to midnight!
