  1. Plenty of reasons not to turn up for a midweek away match at NL level. Work commitments is the most common one.
  2. Too right. I was at Lynn last Wednesday and it was rammed, despite the TV coverage.
  3. Looks like a decent day weather wise on wednesday. Hopefully it's a good meeting, for those of us attending!
  4. I've given up trying to arrange things around speedway fixtures. Dates never seem to be set in stone, so why should i put myself out.
  5. 1st leg is at Arlington on the 21st if Eastbourne qualify. According to the Eagles website.
  6. You can only use a guest if your no.1 is missing, unless you have two riders missing in the main body of the team.
  7. Why would Eastbourne ride at home on a Wednesday night, and give up their regular saturday. Crazy in financial terms.
  8. Sooner or later, someone in authority need to order clubs to rearrange meetings as quickly as possible, there is a similar scenario happening with the Coventry v Eastbourne fixture scheduled for the same day.
  9. Apparently Eastbourne haven't agreed to go to Leicester next sunday, and still hope to stage their leg of the play off final the previous night, if they qualify!
  10. They make a difference financially. Clubs get fined for not completing their league fixtures.
  11. Eastbourne still have outstanding away matches at Buxton and stoke still to race, as well as at home to Mildenhall. If they ride at Leicester on the 21st, then it's hard to see how the league fixtures will be completed.
  12. I was told it was the only available date at Arlington last night. The 28th is reserved for the play off final, with the 27th unavailable due to stock cars.
  13. It is fast approaching the point of no return for running these fixtures.
  14. I got as far as Brockley on the train, so like you, I'd left home as well. That's the gamble we take in dodgy weather.
  15. I knew it was off at 14.17. I just checked the time on my text messages.
  16. More effort should have been made last sunday, on what was, a dry sunny day.
  17. Speedway, the Titanic of sports, whose captain and navigator are sailing us into oblivion.
  18. I agree. It's a shame two full teams couldn't have battled it out. It was a non event in the end, as Mildenhall ran out of riders.
  19. Same here, I'll leave it as late as i can, if the weather is still dodgy.
  20. The curse of Rye looks like striking again. If it's off, a quick restaging seems a necessity.
  21. I don't think 14 will be enough for Mildenhall at fortress Arlington.
