  1. I see the doors been left open for latecomers to join the NL.
  2. Len probably made a packet hiring it out to the punters attending the London Olympics, perhaps he gave Thames Water a cut!
  3. That's your fault mike, for being 7 foot tall!
  4. The geographics of moving up are the only minus as far as I'm concerned. No local derbies are going to be a killer.
  5. The only safety concern for the riders is the poor lighting on parts of the track.
  6. It's debatable that Rye House Stadium is fit to stage public events. Maybe the health and safety inspectors have made a visit. Negotiating the car park is treacherous enough, and that's before you enter the stadium.
  7. One 'official' from an away track told me they were refusing to honour BSPA passes. Things like that don't go down well at the old Boys club.
  8. Ben Morley might have been a better shot. He is excellent at Arlington.
  9. Why have the BSPA not used the bond money to settle up with the riders.
  10. BMR ruffled far too many feathers for there to be a compromise.
  11. Eastbourne are not a promotion that likes to run too many meetings. I'd be amazed if they ran two teams.
  12. Both the Rye House and Lakeside promotions suffered considerable losses running there last season. I don't see a queue of prospective promoters wanting to run at Rye. NL racing might be worth a punt for someone with deep pockets.
  13. Look at somersets recently signed heat leader trio. How can any NL club compete with that.
  14. I never take the sport too seriously. Not having a team to support anymore probably helps!
  15. Who can blame them for having second thoughts. A big increase in costs and no guarantees of a sufficient increase in numbers through the turnstiles.
  16. If they were thinking of using Odsal, I'd be suprised if anyone had the resources.
  17. You are almost on the money Arnie, give or take a few quid. No wonder the NL clubs are uncertain about moving up.
  18. Logic and the BSPA don't really go together.
  19. Lakeside were probably only allowed to use Rye to ensure they completed their fixtures. As for BMR and the BSPA, it's obvious there were financial problems last season. Only the powers that be know the real reasons why the Rye promotion have been shown the door.
  20. The points limit and how many teams are going to participate in the NL are the two big questions.
  21. Hopefully we will find out soon, what league and what race night.
  22. You would have thought now that planning permission has been granted, they would have started work by now. If that wheelbarrow and kettle turn up, can someone please let us know.
