It's debatable that Rye House Stadium is fit to stage public events. Maybe the health and safety inspectors have made a visit. Negotiating the car park is treacherous enough, and that's before you enter the stadium.
Both the Rye House and Lakeside promotions suffered considerable losses running there last season. I don't see a queue of prospective promoters wanting to run at Rye. NL racing might be worth a punt for someone with deep pockets.
Lakeside were probably only allowed to use Rye to ensure they completed their fixtures. As for BMR and the BSPA, it's obvious there were financial problems last season. Only the powers that be know the real reasons why the Rye promotion have been shown the door.
You would have thought now that planning permission has been granted, they would have started work by now. If that wheelbarrow and kettle turn up, can someone please let us know.
