Eastie said they were going to run meetings regardless of TV distractions this season. It hasn't taken long for the old habits to return. -

I've been told the plug has been pulled because of the football. -
I didn't see or hear any.

It was. Last thursdays meeting was brilliant, with multiple passes in most races. Interestingly there was only 1 tractor grade after heat 10, and only the ouside line was graded. This worked a treat with plenty of oustside manoeuvres by the riders.

Awful looking crash with Kevin Doolan. He was taken to hospital by county ambulance. Both riders went through the air fence and ended up on the stock car track.

Historically Peterborough have never had good crowds on a midweek race night, so yesterday wasn't too bad. Everyone wants more, it's just human nature! -

The problem is, the average age of the speedway fan will dictate if the stand remains open. A seat is the minimum requirement for the majority. -
If i lived in the frozen north I'd be there every meeting, instead i had to content myself with a humdinger of a match at the East of England Showground. The sacrifices i make!

It looked a decent crowd for a thursday night. A fabulous meeting tonight. Well run, hard fought with some fantastic racing. It shows what can be done when all the ingredients come together, speedway at its best! -

From the euphoria of last season to the misery of this. What a devastating end for the Comets and their fans. -

Eastbourne's crowd was well down last saturday. Attendances are usualy good at the start of the season, maintaining those levels is the hard part.
