I'd say it was an honourable draw, but once two started a few others joined in! -

Gave Andersson a hard bend in heat 14, followed by a few fisticuffs. It's been a long time since i last saw an on track punch up at speedway, felt like the good old days! -
It was a rarity to see a coachload of Leicester fans turn up at Eastbourne last sunday.

Patchy rain not due to arrive until after midnight. As for the meeting, it looks like another home banker to me. -
Glasgow v Redcar KO Cup 5/7/19@19.30

Eastbourne, Edinburgh & Newcastle are all tough tracks for visiting teams. I can see some big home wins in the semis. -
Most speedway promoters are in denial. They all think their product is perfect.

There is no way 18 clubs will come to the tapes in one league next season. Some clubs in the championship are hanging on by their finger tips. Those clubs are more likely to fold than take on any increased costs to keep up with the likes of Poole. Even a reduction in team strengths will not be enough to save some teams. Survival of the fittest will be the way forward.

As a neutral i don't care who wins, but throwing points away is making hard work of it. -

It was a decent meeting, but Glasgow did make hard work of it. Looked a good crowd as well. -
Over the hill and down the other side.

My mate was having a sly fag on the elevated platform on turn 4. I'll tell him you don't approve, neither do i if I'm honest! -
I've been to the showground twice this season. The most recent Poole match was excellent and the fours were very good as well. Perhaps I've just been lucky.

There were always 2 ambulances and the paramedic vehicle available at Brandon. Even the medical cover on the Isle of Wight put a lot of the bigger 'professional' clubs to shame.

According to the BSPA site he is riding.

The two falls by Nicholls and Douglas whilst leading tipped the balance of the tie in eagles way. More astute use of Connor Mountain could have gained a couple more points. It looks all over, but Eastie will need to make some decent starts in the 2nd leg. -

Well they are running a full scale meeting on the island with the likes of Steve Worrall riding, so something is in the air! -

It will be very interesting to see how the trial of the new standard engines go on the Isle of Wight. Anything to bring down the costs of equipment must be a good thing. -

It would take more than getting rid of the 'God' to save the sport. British speedway is skint, and getting rid of the dynamic duo won't change anything. Chapman is propping up the top flight and the second tier is staring into the abyss. It's going to be survival of the fittest in years to come. -

Me too, i never liked it when i used to drive the grader around the track at Wimbledon. It used to give me a neck ache staying out on the centre green for the whole meeting. I'd imagine the experience might be different at a big track. -

I've been going to Eastbourne since the 1970's and had never heard of a curfew at Arlington. -

Some curfews are often used to suit the promoters. I had two dubious ones last season. A 10pm at Eastbourne, one meeting this year has already hit the 10.40 mark. A 10.15 at Rye House, when the previous meeting went on an hour later. At least at Kent everyone knows it's 8.30. -
A couple of weeks ago in threatening weather, the first 12 heats against Plymouth were run by 8.10. It shows what can be done.
