  1. I saw him guest for Peterborough at Poole. He was impressive that night as well.
  2. He was pretty poor when i saw him ride for Wolves at Lynn recently. He couldn't get the hang of the place.
  3. The Mason's need to run a slicker show as well. Starting the parade at 7.25pm is ridiculous with a curfew. Kent have learned from that this season, with the first race starting dead on 6.30pm.
  4. Are you optimistic you will run next season. I've been to five meetings at Brum this year, and apart from the Glasgow and Leicester matches, the crowds were poor.
  5. Bluster's pulled the plug early, so he can concentrate on getting Peterborough on in front of the cameras.
  6. A few weeks ago at King's Lynn i saw a rider go direct to the tapes in a clockwise direction. This used to be an exclusion, but no action was taken.
  7. I thought the crowd was pretty decent. Not as big as i expected, but the live sport on TV must have had some impact.
  8. Sunny here in Sussex, should be a good meeting tonight. It's gonna be tight!
  9. I remember Les riding for the Wick when i first started going in the late 1960's. He looked too tall to be a speedway rider.
  10. Redevelopment at the showground has been on the cards for years. Very similar to the situation at Lakeside. It will be a sad day for the whole sport if it happens.
  11. Totally agree regarding the starts. The tapes were held for an eternity in most races.
  12. To be honest with you, i was posting en route to Brum v Scunny. So i wasn't paying the greatest of attention!
  13. It was a decent meeting last night, despite the weather doing it's best to ruin it . Heat 15 was a cracker and a draw was a fair result.
  14. I'd be suprised if it was two. Can you see the likes of Berwick and Birmingham competing with Poole.
  15. I can see things staying as they are. Peterborough could drop down and be replaced by Sheffield on their traditional Thursday race night. There might be a bit of movement between the second and third tiers, and maybe one or two casualties.
  16. It's nice to see the Potteres have a trouble free season for a change.
