  1. Absolutely. I went to poole last night with a dry forecast with only a 5% chance of rain. Two heavy showers nearly put paid to the meeting.
  2. I've seen meetings there on every day barring Wednesday (possibly) and Sunday (definitely). So it is possible.
  3. Five or six clubs might be optimistic. The likes of Kent have trod water for too long, despite getting excellent crowds. The dreaded curfew has always held the club back. It's going to be sink or swim for some NL teams.
  4. The Islands traditional race night was Tuesday. Going up against Poole most Thursdays seemed a strange decision, maybe Wightlink played a part in that choice.
  5. Nudge, nudge, wink wink, say no more. One tracks loss could be a big gain for another club.
  6. It has been confirmed on the Eastbourne website, after much deliberation, Saturdays meeting is definitely going ahead. This is good news for all of us intending to go to this fixture.
  7. I'm not a hater by any means, but someone has to take responsibility for the mess that the sport is in. The rot usually starts at the top.
  8. Hopefully you're right. These fixtures need to get run ASAP, before the winter sets in.
  9. The rulebook should be enforced. Lawson should be riding for Eastbourne on Saturday. The Birmingham match has been in the fixture list for weeks, and should take priority.
  10. Watch this space. Eastbourne have a history of storms in teacups.
  11. With the 'Lawsongate' saga still raging on, i wonder if this meeting will take place on Saturday.
  12. Hard to argue with that. I was at the Emirates tonight, where over 53,000 turned up to watch a league cup tie featuring two weakened teams. Football's popularity in this country shows no signs of declining.
  13. With the present incumbents running the show, it's hard to see any other outcome. Speedway desperately needs some professional people to help pull it out from the abyss.
  14. Speedway has always been held in great stadiums with poor tracks. Amsterdam, Munich & Wembley for starters. I have nothing against Cardiff, i just don't like the GP's. They are like Marmite, you either love them or you hate them!.
  15. I remember seeing zmarzlik ride for Birmingham back in 2014. He didn't ride in many meetings for the Brummies.
  16. It will eventually end up like grasstrack, with a few amateur and club meetings run occasionally at weekends.
  17. I gave it a miss as well, i don't like individuals. Why wasn't Ben riding tonight.
