Hard to argue with that. I was at the Emirates tonight, where over 53,000 turned up to watch a league cup tie featuring two weakened teams. Football's popularity in this country shows no signs of declining.

With the present incumbents running the show, it's hard to see any other outcome. Speedway desperately needs some professional people to help pull it out from the abyss.
