When i went to Lydd for an amateur meeting earlier in the season, they had an ambulance and a paramedic vehicle on site.

I went to Crayford v Newcastle in the 1983 Supernational final. The semi was run at Weymouth the night before, so the away team scorecard and heat details were blank.

There was three ambulances present at the last grasstrack meeting i attended. Coventry always used to have at least two in attendance.

Cosidering Pearson is a 'professional' commentator covering different sports, it is a very amateurish show where speedway is concerned. Prehaps it's a perfect fit.

For me as a neutral, it was a meeting that promised a lot, but failed to deliver. The crowd was excellent, but the track was slick and offered few passing opportunities. A real shame for those of us present and for the TV audience.
