Probably not. I was at the first leg to witness a pretty woeful performance from Kent, but i still want to see the 2nd leg. After all, it's going to be a long winter!
I've always said Sid, the racing hasn't changed much, but the venues have. We have lost far too many great tracks in this country, not to have had a major impact on the sport.
The track was very tricky Sid, quite damp and patchy in places. Mulford was well in front, but going too fast considering the conditions. He looks a great prospect though. Joe Thompson was very impressive, with some brave outside overtakes. Totally ignoring the wet stuff out by the fence.
So releived the weather didn't ruin things Sid. The rainfall radar looked very ominous an hour before the start. For me, a monday night restage would have clashed with Kent v Leicester!
Donkeys years ago at the Wick, Len was charging top dollar despite having a poor team. Like you say, he won't lose any sleep over it. He'd probably charge £20 if Kent were in the top league.
Filler meetings and challenge matches might suit some of the Central Park regulars, but not me. How can you fill a full season of fixtures with four teams is beyond me.
I've heard the rumours as well, probably just gossip. With the NL possibly down to four teams next year, some sort of movement might be essential for the sport to progress at Central Park.
A walk in the park for the cubs tonight. Right from the start, the kings sermed to struggle with The tricky track conditions. The crowd was lower than i expected, but it was a well run meeting on a cold evening.
I live in Lower kingswood in Surrey, which is a bona fide village. I work and grew up in Earlsfield in South West London, where since its gentrification, is now referred to by some of the 'locals' as a village!. Nearby Southfields has suffered the same fate. Both areas are now so congested, that you need traffic lights on the pavements!
The new stadium would have more chance, if it was built on the site that was intended. Putting a few portacabins on the present location, is hardly a 'new stadium', especially when it comes to noise issues.
Both the Lions and the Cubs have reached the finals of the play offs and cup competitions. It's inevitable they would have a fixture backlog with the wet end to the season.
