It's all down to personal choice. I had no problem attending a few speedway meetings last summer and multiple non league football matches from August till December. Being a key worker, I've had the jab, but i can understand why some people won't want to mix with crowds at sporting events. For me personally, i can't wait for it to start.
I visited Stoke in their last season and was impressed how the place had been tidied up. The track was also decent, but the water bowser broke down mid meeting. It had its faults, but the sport can't afford to lose any venues.
Being a neutral, i really don't care about the results. Enjoy your club whilst you have one. Mine closed 15 years ago, with flats and a football ground being built on it's site.
My levels are decreasing slowly. The loss of Lakeside and Rye House are a major factor in this. If Eastbourne, Kent or the IOW folded, my numbers would come down considerably. I've lost a lot of my appetite for long distance travelling due to the pandemic. Will this ever return, who knows. I'll be a couple of years older when things finally get back to normal.
Being a neutral, i don't care about the rules. I just want to see some decent racing on a well prepared track. I want a well run meeting that represents good value for money. Is that too much to ask, or are my expectations too high!
