  1. just changing topic. on sunday afternoon i saw a weyline truck with a wildcats logo painted on the front parked in garratt lane just around the corner from wimbledon stadium. does anyone have any idea what this vehicle was doing so far from home.
  2. with the possibility of fewer teams running in the NL next season fixture congestion wont be a problem.
  3. well done to all at buxton. the hitmen have come a long way from that tricky little track inside the stock car stadium.
  4. politics aside i thought it was a decent nights entertainment for a tenner. all the riders deserve credit for putting on a good show on a very wet track without any fuss.
  5. now that newport have lights could this meeting have been run earlier in the week.
  6. too right, there are a few important meetings being staged on the last weekend of the season. no doubt everyone will be praying the rain stays away.

  8. barrow were the blackhawks in 1984/5 and the furness flyers in 1977/8.
  9. it was announced on sunday if workington got through the first leg of the final would be on saturday night at derwent park. the second leg would be at rye on sunday at 4pm. if scunny were the winners it would be 2pm. the possible scunny home leg is friday the 29th.

  11. i think the newport leg will be on a friday. maybe buxton will run a double header on the 24th.
  12. with most nl teams except dudley and plymouth getting low crowds you really have to fear for the future of the sport at this level.
  13. i was there today and heard the same thing. let's hope the weather holds so it gets run.
  14. with rye looking odds on to qualify for the young shield final i can't see these meetings being staged at hoddesdon.
  15. i only went to brooklands once to see the bouncing czechs ride. although i was a dons fan west ham was my favourite track and one i still mourn for today.
  16. cloudy and cold here in sarf london. wrap up well all you brave souls going tonight it's gonna be a long evening!
  17. hold both events at sittingbourne a real grass roots speedway venue.
  18. why not run saturday and sunday to keep everybody happy.
  19. i think the current buxton track is a better circuit than the previous one in the stock car stadium. that track with it's tight turns was a sight to see!
  20. a rare sunday afternoon meeting at saddlebow road on october 17. does anyone have the line up for this years pride of the east.
  21. for years len has always run on saturday evenings against the sky gp's. but now he changes race night because of reality tv, i just don't get it!
  22. if you are running both events on the same day, a 2pm start should allow plenty of time to run a full 16 heat fours final and the nlrc.
