Kent Kings V Mildenhall Nl 5/5/14
cityrebel replied to blueherb777's topic in National League Speedway
riders at any level need a decent and safe track to race on. The surface at Central Park is awful considering it is over a year old. If things don't improve, the crowds will drop and none of us want that. -
Ipswich Vs Newcastle Monday May 5th 2.30pm

A decent meeting today that hotted up as the match wore on. Well done to the Ipswich promotion in booking two ambulances, which enabled both incidents to be sorted with minimal delays. Get well soon to both riders -

the track should have been sorted out during the winter months. I thought it looked really poor for the king's Lynn meeting, this helped me decide to go to Ipswich today instead. If thing's don't improve at Central Park, I will have to consider cutting down on the amount of meetings I attend there. -

If you used PayPal you should be able to get a refund. -
Plenty of financial problems down at Plymouth, with talk of closing unless crowds increase. Where does this leave the NL team.

Rye House V Scunthorpe 26th April
cityrebel replied to Dave Stummings's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I really do fear for the future of speedway at rye if they did pull a stunt like this. No doubt some fans turned up tonight expecting to see a meeting, not all of us have internet access. -

It was pretty wet south of the river yesterday shads, but at lakeside last night it was dry and had been for most of the day. -

I'm surprised it's off so early. The BBC forecast is for a dry late afternoon and evening, no doubt Len is saving the track for next weeks semi! -
Birmingham V Poole Ela 23/4/14
cityrebel replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It's a no win situation. I went to rye house on Sunday where it rained from start to finish. The meeting was run but the crowd was awful, with plenty of people giving it a miss due to the poor weather. -

Robert Lambert Mouthing Off In The Star. Oh Dear.
cityrebel replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
When I saw him ride on the Isle of Wight last year I was shocked at the size of his pit crew complete with name boards, the type you see in the Grand Prix. He certainly is a big talent and has come a long way from those pre meeting spins he used to have at rye house. -
Leicester's first ever visit to purfleet interests me and I'm looking forward to it!

Bandits Back To Berrington?

Sounds like a leg pull to me! -
It was pretty poor viewing from the bends at the launch pad on Saturday. The new air fence means I've lost my spot in the middle of bends three and four and I will miss watching the do or die efforts of certain riders round the final two turns at rye. The air fence seems to be mainly free standing with very little to support it and to stop riders going underneath it in the event of a high speed fall.

no judge in his right mind would shut down a football ground in this country. Some clubs can go bust two or three times and still stay in business. Football seems to be above the law in most cases, and I'm a big fan of both football and speedway. -

I remember a certain southern track reducing the admission price when scunny were the visitors in the 1970's. -

Why go to this dogs dinner of a meeting eddie. I thought you would have been at leicester for sure. I went to rye last night, you will be suprised at the track changes and the viewing from the bends!. -
Eastbourne V Birmingham 29/3/2014
cityrebel replied to Sophies Mate's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I totally agree with you Eddie. I'm finding it harder to justify spending money on speedway these days, weakened line ups, stupid rules and a race format that will take a few weeks to get used to, and the season has only just begun! -
