  1. Kent ran with 2 guests at Eastbourne on Sunday. Heeps and Gilkes were missing.
  2. I don't mind booking up for my 2 local tracks, but i couldn't entertain it for long distance journeys. Hopefully when restrictions are lifted, i might venture a bit further.
  3. Buxton, Iwade and Lydd are excellent training tracks, that should be used more.
  4. 55 races at Frittenden last Sunday for £15. Excellent value for money.
  5. Delays have been the curse of British speedway for years. As my mate once said to me. ' the problem with speedway is, far too many things can go wrong'. It's hard to argue with that.
  6. Skegness stadium is in a rural location, miles out of town. The promoters gambled on the former Boston fans to support the venture. I counted a couple of hundred people at the meeting i attended, that was for premier league racing!
  7. I've been to 4 events so far: Lydd - behind closed doors - invitation only. Eastbourne - tight as a drum, masks worn throughout, quite uncomfortable really. Frittenden - battle of Britain Grasstrack - relaxed attitude, masks seemed optional. Kent - masks worn when moving about, optional in grandstand. Stewards enforcing the rules. It seems 'elite sports' have different rules to non league football, which is mainly track and trace and temperature tests only.
  8. A decent meeting today, raced in front of a good crowd. A draw was a fair result, with both sides having some misfortune.
  9. Andrews has had some decent meetings at Central Park in the past, so it could be a close one.
  10. I remember seeing him ride for the Czechs at the reshaped narrow Canterbury track in 1987. He certainly took no prisoners that night!
  11. He was pretty impressive on the grass at Frittenden today. He beat James Shanes in the final, which is no mean feat.
  12. A good point. I've already transferred mine.
  13. I remember going to the long track at Matchams in the late 1980's.
  14. At least an early decision was made. I can go to football this afternoon instead.
  15. They certainly did in the good old days, when Bob drove his magic tractor.
  16. There is a shortage of wheelbarrow's at the moment!
  17. To be fair to kent. With restricted Stadium access and the dreaded 20.30 curfew, there is no chance of delaying the start. I have a 100 mile round trip to Central park, so I'm glad a decision has been made.
