  1. Leicester & peterborough And plymouth!
  2. thanks for reminding me john. It seems like a lifetime ago.
  3. if eastbourne do listen to what people say, maybe they can reduce uncle bobs tractor breaks, and attempt to run a meeting in under two hours. As an Arlington regular, that would be a good starting point to keep the show moving.
  4. the thing is john, after watching 81 races at lakeside Friday, lydd Saturday and rye Sunday, something had to give. Last night I contented myself with watching the meeting on sky!
  5. I've never seen any details of the meetings run at the dog track either.
  6. probably the same reason test matches are a thing of the past. It seems a lot of fans just want regular domestic team matches, myself included. Even the attraction of seeing a few new riders couldn't tempt me to go tonight.
  7. it's not my opinion john, just a rumour I heard!
  8. I heard that one as well. Martin hagon will run lakeside in the NL next season with no Jon cook. Don't forget, you heard it here first!
  9. it was ten quid to get into london lions in 1996, an amount I thought was outrageous at the time. I still went to twenty meetings there that season!
  10. the dog track is surrounded by houses just like brooklands stadium was.
  11. Even the recycle bin would refuse to take them!
  12. there were stock cars at Arlington last night, I passed a few of them on my way to lydd yesterday for the veterans championship.
  13. I feel sorry for the ipswich management trying to promote this meeting. I suppose it's just about bearable if you live local, but I certainly wouldn't travel far to watch it.
  14. Can anyone please confirm if this coming Saturdays event is still on, and what time does it start.
  15. maybe a bit soon for Zak, but Wilson dean could do a job at reserve.
  16. according to the mildenhall website Michael, it's fen tigers v the Danes.
  17. I saw quite a few youngsters at kent kings last, they are definetly a minority at speedway these days.
  18. When I was younger PC meant Peter Collins, nowadays it stands for something completely different. I know which one I prefer!
  19. Both are fine talents that I have enjoyed watching on numerous occasions this season.
  20. The club belongs in the NL just like plymouth. The likes of eastbourne and brum have survived purely because of the NL. Cut your cloth accordingly and ride out the storm, that is the only way british speedway will survive.
  21. Last night was my ninth meeting of the season at kent, and three of those have failed to go the distance. Apart from the teams performances, the curfew is the main problem at Central Park. You can't keep charging people for fifteen heats and regularly give them less. With any luck, when the Fridays start next season things will be different.
  22. I know plenty of fans myself included that attend both.
  23. the madness of uncle Len is catching shads!
  24. come on shads, that fourth bend air fence panel is just waiting to be punctured. Give tommy Allen a ring!
