  1. What a price leicester have paid for EL membership, infrequent meetings with farcical line ups. Shades of eastbourne 2014.
  2. its easy to get back to london after the meeting. Chafford hundred station is a fifteen minute walk away if you use the rear gate and cut across the shopping centre car park. The trains to london leave every half an hour with the last one departing about 11.30pm. snap!
  3. The sad fact is, that Berwick will not be the only club fighting for survival this coming winter.
  4. the fish and chips haven't been legendary at rye for years. Mildenhall lead the way in that department.
  5. It's nothing new. Speedway has been losing historic venues to redevelopment since 1960. As the population continues to grow, the need for new homes to be built becomes greater. It's an ongoing problem that will never go away.
  6. always expect the unexpected where Len silver is concerned!
  7. i noticed the lack of rain on the radar. Maybe the scunny promotion have suffered from a Len silver moment!
  8. out of the six raiders home meetings I've been to this season, Len has done the track for all of them, apart from the first kent match.
  9. There is a lot of rain predicted to fall on the launch pad in the next few hours. I just hope that uncle Len makes an effort to get this meeting on.
  10. i go to all three, and eastbourne as well.
  11. i've got two kids, does that make me an exception to the rule!
  12. len won't run against lakeside for a fiver shads.
  13. well you see it wrong, there is a large group of fans, myself included that go to both. Some of the track staff also work at both venues.
  14. lakeside are riding against coventry, with admission only £5 if purchased in advance. Kent rarely run when the hammers are at home.
  15. Mildenhall should not run speedway the day after a stock car meeting. With so little time available to prepare a safe track, problems are always going to occur. The riders and the fans deserve better.
  16. so would I. The crowd at last Wednesdays brum v kent match looked ok for NL, but it would be a big financial risk to return to the PL.
  17. I think the raiders are a seperate club as far as Len is concerned. That's why we had all of the father and son aggro earlier in the season.
  18. i've never seen any footage from the rebels era other than the 1976 press and practice day which is on youtube. league racing was much more enjoyable at wood lane Sidney, despite being a Wimbledon fan!
  19. Why is rye such a one man band shads, surely the old duffer could employ a track curator and someone who can drive the water cart. How much longer can a man of lens great age keep on doing everything.
  20. that's a bit rich coming from a club that had magic mason in the team. Surely the NL is a league for developing young riders.
  21. Tonight sees a weakened tigers team visit the launch pad. They will be facing a nearly full strength rockets side, looking to bounce back from the Berwick defeat last Sunday. I predict a home win with plenty of dust, please prove me wrong uncle Len!
  22. I only missed four meetings at the white city from 1976 to 1983. Some were good, some were bad and some like the 1982 british open were forgettable!
